His stock is high after his last start where the Dominican native gave up just two hits in seven scoreless innings versus the Indians. Volquez has had some trouble with the Tigers in his career. "Matt Boyd's last start was a frustrating one. We like what we've seen so far from the Washington native but he helped the Tigers blow a seven run lead his last time out and it still stings. Boyd came over from the Blue Jays in the David Price trade. He is just 0-1 with a 4.91 ERA in four starts. He's got the ability to strike guys out with 20 K’s in 25.2 innings but he also has to cut down on the walks. Boyd has 18 K’s over his last 21 innings. He’s a finesse lefty with good stuff that has excelled at every level he’s pitched at so far. That said, this one is more about fading Volquez against the red-hot bats of the Tigers. After taking the opener of this series, 9-4, the Tigers lost last night 10-3 but they still managed 10 hits."

Impressive, eh?

Some might want to fade, though there are historical records going back 10 years or so. So that's not the whole story by far & he's not a "fly by night" er.

It has been said even pros can go on long losing streaks or have losing months & years.

If you haven't ever lost 10 or more in a row you haven't been gambling long & much.

But maybe most people are looking for a hot hand, a quick fix, fast food. "What did you do for me yesterday" types.

No one is going to maintain 70% winners at a pk for long.

Boyd is horrible on the road... How could you back up this pitcher. Volquez has been stellar at home and who cares how he gets outs. Historically, tour looking at 10 years of stats to back up this play? What about looking at today's players and situation rather than backing it up with history.
I think Kansas City is the better play today. I am looking at Kansas for a play. Good Luck with your action

I never said i had an opinion or bet on the game or was looking at 10 years of stats to back up the play.

Kevy used to be the guy that had a great following on this forum. Now posting in the tracker forum with 175K+ views, light years more than anyone else. And here is the conclusion of the matter, in his own words:

"Baseball: YTD 16-22 ( - 20.44 Units ) All wagers are for 5 Units."

"Worst start ever in Bases. I am going to stop posting my Baseball plays
and wrap this thread up. My apologies for such a terrible start. My friends
I will see you guys all again probaly this November or December for NBA & NHL."

No, I didn't see you state a play on this game. I was quick to read your opening comment and my hands took off on me regarding the historical aspect which I though you wrote.

Kevy did well last year, and he is sharp. Every capper has their bad runs. Is this the point you are trying to make?
