it's pretty funny how lefties have to talk about everything but policy, trying to create and manipulate and message controversy

it's all because there's no way on earth they can talk policy after nearly 8 years of being wrong about everything

somewhat befuddling that they want more of the same, I'd be embarrassed

Willie, make no mistake though, it's been longer than 8 years (tough Obama took it to a new level). I am no Bush fan either, you realize how much money he spent, right? Nothing will be fixed until we get a true conservative in there and the people have spoken, they don't want one.

1) the economic downturn began in 2008, and it was largely fueled by a somewhat trumped up international banking crisis

2) the recession of 2008 followed several consecutive years of economic growth, jobs growth and increases in wages, the country has a recession every decade and can still prosper when growth precedes and the succeeds the recession

3) what we have under Obama is the worst post recession economic recovery since the great depression, and his finger prints are all over it

4) failed stimulus (just a bunch of built up pork barrel projects for the democrats), the uncertainties and regulations and across the boards problems created by the clusterfuck known as Obamacare, increased taxes, increased regulations, the credit card protection act, idiotic mortgage red tape, anti-business rhetoric, the racial divide, the economic divide and the meteoric rise of ISIS have contributed to Obama's great depression II. The best thing a POTUS can do is stay out of the way, this idiot builds roadblocks in front of us AND ties anchors to our ankles

5) I only mentioned "nearly eight years of being wrong about everything" because he's only been in power for nearly eight years

8 years of economic malaise, weak employment numbers, no wage growth, diminishing wealth, increased racial tensions, dividing us economically, diminishing security, international laughing stock and lies lies lies lies make him by far the biggest piece of shit to occupy casa blanca in my lifetime

Really. Who the hell knows who is good or bad for the country? You'd have to give them a four year term and then judge based on that, you can't predict how someone will do. I personally think each party has the right times for it to be in control. I think Bill Clinton was the perfect guy for 1992 - 2000. Today, I'd feel safer if a republican was in office. I mean who does our economic enemies want to win the election (China, Mexico)? Who do our military enemies want to win (ISIS, N. Korea). I mean I don't know for sure but my gut tells me they are really hoping Hilary wins. Last thing I want to do is give my enemy what they want. Cause Frankly, who the hell knows if a brash, cocky business man can do a better job on our economy than the wife of a former president? It's gonna be a first for something which means there will be close eyes on the term of whomever should win and if it is a debacle then it is going to go down in infamy.

I concur that the POTUS tends to receive too much credit for successes and too much blame for failures, hence I said "The best thing a POTUS can do is stay out of the way, but this idiot builds roadblocks in front of us AND ties anchors to our ankles"

Obama, however, owns the past 8 years. His over the top policies and regulations and taxes and Obamacare are stamped all over our economic failures. Throw in the uncertainties he creates with his reckless rhetoric, and you have the GD II

He owns it, they own it, so they need to talk about stuff like hair styles and hating women

The whole dam Federal Governement needs to get out of the way! Protect our country and that is about it...protect us and like you say Willie, get the hell out of the way.

not a bad post, but that being said TT, yes I KNOW Hillary is not a person we want leading our country. I do not need to wait four years to know that.

Willie, I agree with all that, no question....I'm just saying do not mistake Dubya for a conservative, he ain't one.

W got half of the economic equation right, lower taxes and no massive increase in regulations. There was a two year window where revenues were increasing so quickly (because of surging tax revenues) the budget was nearly balanced and trending in the right direction. We haven't had anything close to economic growth since, and the idiots still argue more tax increases are the solution

W spent too much money, he didn't give them everything but he still spent far too much. Whatever he didn't give the democrats for 8 years, they recovered in the first month under Obama with his pork stimulus package that delivered none of what was promised (NOTHING)

But W's biggest mistake was mismanaging the war. If he had the surge from day 1, like many military people advised, the war would have ended much sooner with a lot less cost and a lot fewer lives lost. We might not have an Obama as POTUS, Iraqi policy and security would have been in place long before any successor took office, and all of that means we might not have the problem with ISIS that we have today.

Should have won the war years earlier, waited too long to implement "the surge"

I think we are pretty much in agreement. Bush also should have never bailed anyone/anything out. Would have been better to let the market dictate what happens.

Everyone who voted for the Bush/Cheney Wars should be in jail including Hillary, Obama and all of the other Senators and Congressmen right alongside Bush and Cheney. We had our chance to show that we are a True Leader in the World and We Blew It! Where is the Senate Committee on how are leaders (Almost All) lied to us and got us in a Holy War that , I am sure, most of us did not want the War we Got! Have A Nice Day! PS At least Donald can say that he did not vote for our stupid Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and anywhere else we are fighting in the Middle East!

what happened in 2008? why?

could lenders practice reckless lending when the government backs such up?

why is college education so expensive in America? because the feds make student loans so easy to obtain so colleges can and do charge more

why are healthcare costs spiraling out of control? yep, government intervention

do you actually think it's simply random?

I think it's usually mostly based on outside influences, and I believe government can do a lot of harm with regulations and taxes and bad policy, but very little good save for staying out of the way

Infrastructure, national security and a postal service, that's what they're responsible for

not raising kids, grooming pets and telling you what size soda pop you can drink, who banks can lend money to and what the interest rate should be on credit cards

most of all, lifetime politicians should not be managing our healthcare

there are differences
