With the Red Soxs easily taking care of the Rays. TOO EASY. We did run into a very weird situation about half way through when Porcello couldnt throw a strike but like a true vet, he fought through bases loaded - no outs to get out of it with a 1 RUN damage click... He has been superb this year... I mentioned he was lights out.. well... when you see who he has pitched against ( Sea, Cleve, Toronto, Balt and some more ) this year and to have only a 3+ ERA is simply incredible for the guy this year... and he proved it last night by shutting down the Rays...
That was another perfect example of OPPORTUNITY. The Rays are horrendous and they proved it last night. Porcello coming in walked hardly anyone which means he rarely gives up opportunity. Then you added in the Rays inability to capitalize on opportunity and you have a 8-2 beat down...haha
Its the key to everything....Walks and Opportunity can be a CAPPERS own.......

Volguez comes in to St Louis with his 100 ERA in his last outing ....Wait What ? Sorry.... 99 ERA and he was destroyed by the Astros. The bigger problem is that he did it at HOME IN KC. SNAP...... He walks too many people and now he isnt missing any bats either. RECIPE FOR DISASTER !!! The last like 25 innings he has given up 25 runs... Do you smell....DL ????? Just awful !
Martinez on the other hand. LIGHTS OUT LATELY ! Like the last 35 innings.......5 Runs.. He does walk his share but KC is not opportunistic !! The CARDS?? ONE OF THE BEST AT OPPORTUNITY !!!!!
NO CAIN now....and Volquez has to bat.....Royals 13-25 on the road....
