Since 1937, the Maxwell Award has been presented to the nation's player of the
year. The list this year consist of 90 players from all 10 FBS conferences. The
ACC, with 15 players named to the list, leads all conferences, followed by 12 each
for the Big 10, Big 12 and Pac 12. Interestingly, the SEC has the fewest of any
Power Five conference with nine. Baylor and Clemson lead all individual schools
with 3 players apiece. Alabama's Derrick Henry won the award last year.
My early favorite would be Stanford's Christian McCaffrey.......
