Anyone ever been up in a Helicopter ??

Suppose to take a ride this weekend in a helicopter and not sure if this is a Good thing ....

I've been on small planes and crap ... and never had a problem. But feel a helicopter goes Down ... it goes DOWN !

Depends betall.. what kind of chopper and terrain?

Ive ridden in 1 twice.. once in hawaii.. (that was scary as shit) because of mountains.

And a 2nd time for 3 mins across a city.. it was a luxury chopper. Not scary at all

Unless the chopper has a transmission problem they can auto rotate down at a safe speed.
I know people who have had that happen. 90% of my flying is over water so if that were to happen we can auto rotate down into the water. The helicopters have floaters to where it can float in the water into a rescue takes place .

It can take up to 12 hrs for a boat to get to the same place a chopper can in 30 mins

Yeah this one is a luxury chopper .. the company is Blade, it's going from NYC to the Hamptons
they have a great record ... just feel uncomfortable I think

I'm sure it will be a Breeze ..

Yeah we usually just drive out ... but that could take 2+ hours

BAS..........taken some for pleasure and Viet Nam (not sure that counts)......the pleasure was enjoyable (even the wife like it)..........have a great experience..........indy

Not sure if I'm afraid ... Heights don't bother me... and I have been on small planes many times in the past.
so it's more being uncomfortable.

Maybe afraid & uncomfortable are the same thing ... LOL
