I know they have had a large group of officers quit in the last couple months for various reasons including low morale, low wages compared to other municipalities and lack of confidence in leadership.

Two police officers were shot at a protest in downtown Dallas, according to a report.
An officer told Fox 4 that two cops were hit when gunfire erupted at the demonstration around 9 p.m. and their condition was unknown.

If im a cop - there is no way im going to stand in the street at these protests - there is literally a percentage of people there that have nothing to lose - death or prison is their imminent future - killing a cop wouldnt even be a minimal concern to them

Agree! I got no beef with the black protesters letting off a little steam, but the white protesters
probably with noble intentions are in an arena they may regret being in.
I was in the NG that put down the Newark riots in 1967 a lot of hate for whitey, it was no walk in the park!
