Since June 1, when rumors surfaced about possible PEDS use, he ha been an average pitcher. Tonight, two homers in the second inning. Coincidence?

You gotta atleast do the PEDs until you get that F U money deal like the dude on the Marlins.

*sigh* I hate the cubs and this shit gets old....dude has pitched like Cy Young himself for the last damn near 40 starts and he lets up a couple home runs and now hes not taking his steroids.

something is up....he figured out how to pitch like an all time great pitcher when he was 28? I know he shifted leagues but his run is/was incredible, just seems odd.

Nah. Not sure why the Cubs are so polarizing here, but clearly most of the posters have this intense blind hatred of them. It is what it is.

No denying Jake's been bad lately. Hopefully he gets it figured out quickly.

I played them yesterday in a parlay. Last 4 times ive played them they have lost as a -170+ fav or more. I keep thinking they will turn it around and win a game by 2 maybe. Ugh

+1

I'm a Cubs backer but for betting purposes the best thing is to lay off for a while

Um Maybe, I mean he was a starting pitcher in the MLB before turning it on...I am sure there are stories on it, but I assume he tweaked a few things and after a few years in the MLB, made a few adjustments and worked really hard.

Why can't people ever do good without cheating?...

If a player is real good and drops off, it's " oh wow he must not be taking PEDS anymore"

If a player is real bad and gets good, it's " oh wow he must be taking PEDS now"

Shit just gets old.......

BB, I actually agree with you, shit does get old and I am not one to that usually claims PED's...just something seems off to me in this particular case, but you could possibly be right too.
