Didn't see the game but just saw the highlights. That's a tough pill to swallow. Been on that end of those games more times than I'd like to remember. 3-0 into the 9th AND one out to go...no team should ever cough up that win. Sorry for the bad beat. Get it back tomorrow, buddy.
Any team that believes Robertson is a closer is setting themselves up for failure. That dude got rocked as a standard reliever in NY right along with Joba. They thought that someone thought they were anything more than middle inning relievers is on the GM's and Coaches.

That is a great hit... I had placed a wager on the Sox just before the game began.. I couldn't believe that loss. I was lucky to take Detroit down at least 5 runs if not 7 against Tampa bay in the 9th with Bases loaded and the Tigers came ahead with the crazy win from behind. Seems to be happening a lot this year.. that is 9th inning comebacks. I can vaguely recall at least 5 in the last month and a half.
That has a good hit with Seattle yesterday. Glad you cashed
Robertson has had shaky moments, but he had saved 13 straight. Now yes, he hadn't pitched in two weeks, but you have to get the job down there with a three run lead. When Sale had that shaky 8th I thought Ventura was going to pull him in the 9th.
But really, Lind hit a crazy pitch. DRob missed his location by two feet, but the fact that Land hit that thing was impressive. I thought Eaton should have at least made an effort to pull off a leaping grab as well
Anyway Sox are done. I was expecting Ventura to be fired this morning. This loss probably isn't his fault, but really, it's time to go. Would be the perfect game to pull it off
