I have an account at Cantor Sportsbook at the Venetian. As long as you're in Nevada, you can wager via your cellphone. It checks your location on your phone to ensure you are in Nevada before allowing you access to bet. So, there's a way to set your phone up with a fake GPS to indicate you're somewhere you're not. I set my phone up to be about 20 minutes away from the Venetian. I tried it out on Waze, they thought I was in Vegas. Tried it on Lyft and Uber...yep, Vegas location for pickup. Cantor...I am sorry but you are not in Nevada, LOL. DANG! Apparently their software is a little more sophisticated.

I wonder if you tried a VPN (Virtual Private Network) if it would work? You would have to find a service that has servers in Las Vegas and then you would be able to do it from your computer. It would appear as if you were in Las Vegas based on your IP address.

Why take that chance when you can go offshore? I live in LV and have a Stations acct. I guarantee you that if you find a way to circumvent the system they will close your acct and not pay out any winnings and not refund any losses so ur screwed either way.

Well, if you found a way to circumvent the system, they wouldn't exactly know you did, would they?

In regards to your other comment, it's because the offshore books are making it difficult to get payouts for U.S. customers. Most have severe limits on WU and MoneyGram (so it hardly makes it worthwhile to play if you can only get approximately $300 out). Some of us aren't keen on using bitcoin. And the check thing is a pain in the ass for me as both my national account (Schwab) and my credit union, typically send the checks to collections and it takes between 3 to 6 weeks to cash it. And no, I'm not going to change my bank account for the recreational gambling that I do from a bank I've been using for 18 years that gives me fantastic service on everything else (all of which are more important to me). And let me also say to the moron that suggested this last time....NO, I'm not going to move to Vegas (yeah, someone actually thought that was a brilliant suggestion...you really have to wonder about the people on the internet sometimes).

I could have been clearer re: the potential for you eventually getting caught circumventing the system.

I agree with your other points. I don't use Bitcoin...I can only imagine the books deducting any loss in value and pocketing the growth.

I have managed to get by with a select number of offshores keeping about $8-$12k available for football season and that is supplemented by the fact that I do live in LV. (I travel all the time so have somewhat limited access to LV). Since we are now entering the season, I am going through the annual frustration and time devoted to ramping up...agree with you there too. I will say that any checks clear my Ally acct in five business days.

Good luck this season.
