'Explosive device,' says mayor

The city’s mayor, Carda Seidel, told local media in the early hours of Monday that the blast in Ansbach was caused by an “explosive device”.

The website for a group of local newspapers, nordbayern.de, reported that Seidel said it was not yet clear if it was an attack or how the device was triggered.
Seidel said the explosion had occurred at a wine bar or restaurant.

Local media were also reporting that the bar was at the entrance to an open-air music festival being staged in the town.
Reports are coming in of an explosion in the southern German town of Ansbach.

The explosion has killed one person and injured 11 according to reports.

A spokesman for the Bavarian interior ministry said the explosion was not an accident and appears to have been intentional.

Bavarian interior minister Joachim Herrmann was en route to the site, the spokesman said.

A 27-year-old Syrian denied asylum and entry to a German music festival in Anbach took his own life and wounded a dozen people in a suicide bombing late Sunday.

The blast rocked an entrance to the Anbach Open festival near a wine bar in the Bavarian city 90 miles northwest of Munich. The attacker seriously wounded three people at around 10 p.m., authorities said.

Police believe the attacker acted alone and detonated the device when he was unable to produce a ticket, accoding to Der Spiegel.
He was also identified as a refugee denied asylum in Germany in 2015. He had spent at least two years in Germany and was allowed to remain for an unspecified amount of time instead of returning to his war torn country.

A video showing the Syrian man who blew himself up in Ansbach, Germany, on Sunday pledging allegiance to the leader of so-called Islamic State has been found on his phone, says Bavaria's interior minister.

Joachim Hermann says two phones, multiple SIM cards and a laptop were found with the body of the 27-year-old asylum seeker or at his accommodation.

The man threatened a "revenge attack" on Germans in the video, he said.

Fifteen people were injured.
Bavarian authorities said that the bomb was constructed in such a way that it was clearly meant to kill as many people as possible.

Further bomb-making equipment was found at the asylum seeker accommodation where the man was living, including petrol, hydrogen peroxide and batteries, they added.

A detailed analysis of the content of the videos was ongoing, Mr Hermann said.

"I think it is unquestionable that it is a terror attack with corresponding Islamist convictions of the perpetrator," he said.

German media on the attacks
The German interior minister, Thomas de Maiziere, has ordered increased police presence in public places.

The Ansbach attacker - who has not been named - came to Germany two years ago but was denied asylum and was due to be deported to Bulgaria, where he had already been granted refugee status.

Officials say the man has tried to kill himself on two occasions and has received psychiatric inpatient treatment.

Germany has been the main destination of Syrian asylum seekers entering the EU, most of them arriving irregularly in Greece via Turkey.

Only 23 Syrians had their applications for asylum rejected by the country last year, out of a total of 105,620 decisions on Syrians' applications. A common reason for rejecting an application is when the asylum seeker submits false or incomplete information.

Just under half of asylum seekers rejected by Germany in the past two years were allowed to stay on in the country, according to a recent report in German daily Die Welt (in German).

The Ansbach bomber, who was among those rejected for asylum in 2015, appears to have been placed in a former hotel in the town, designated by the municipal authorities for asylum seekers since 2014.

Declaration is getting made that this attack was done by a bullied kid, not motivated by Islam or Muslim stuff but spinning out of control due to dis-affection, trauma and rage caused by being an outcast, getting bullied.

I feel like that is the most likely scenario as the victims were, its been said at least, "7 Sunni Muslims" among the Foreign (Non-German) kids killed.

Islam stuff would have seen him make Targets out of Non-Mulsims. Though, itdoes need to be clarified that if he WAS SHIA then targeting SUNNI Muslims would make "some degree" of "sense".

They initially introduced his name as a western name “David S”. Then his name changed to Ali David Sonboly (which sounds western) when his real name is Ali Daud Sonboly/Sunbuli which is an Arabic name (better pronounced Sunbuli) and has an exclusively Arabic meaning: ‘from the wheat kernel’.

Sonboly is no Iranian. He is Syrian. His Facebook page showed that he is pro Turkey’s Islamists. That, plus he had a record with the Interpol and was being watched. He is also not a teenager as they show us, but an adult as videos showed. What the reader should conclude after reading is this: why is the eye witnesses account (which is substantiated by material evidence) contradicts media reports (which provide zero evidence that we can verify, just government claim). Let me shred the media’s narrative piece by piece.

First of all. There is only one way to spell Sonboly in the Arabic: سنبلي. In the English it can be spelled multiple ways like Sunbulli, Sonboly because Arabic vowels need to be added using English letters. This is why we find Muhammad spelled as Mohemmed or Mehemet or Mohammad …

But in Arabic, it is always the same spelling: سنبلي

Unless one knows Arabic, they do not know where to look. Examining clan Sonboly and even Sonboly’s own Facebook, before this was taken down and thus made no longer viewable, we found no persian flags hovering anywhere. What we did find were Turkish or Syrian flags or the combination of the two, just like the shooter’s Facebook shows. These are Syrian Islamists who are pro Turkey’s Erdogan. We also find Arabic and not a lick of Persian as their main language. This is unlikely a ‘Sonboly’ of the Persian variety.

Ali Daud (not David) Sonboly, did not simply have a fetish for the red colored flag or the crescent moon. His clan is of Turkish origin living in Syria. Go ahead, peruse each of their Facebook pages yourself and see.

The clan is from Homs Syria where some are scattered in Yemen, Saudi Arabia, the U.S. and Canada. A quick peruse of this clan can show their love for Turkey (here, here this one lives in Chicago, sunni with a Hijab from Homs, Syria, see also here, and here, and here, and here these are anti-Assad pro-Turkey’s Jihad-loving brand of Islam.

This 2nd Article says this attack is more like the Mass-shootings we've seen in USA done by kids that have been driven crazy by Bullying:

Munich Shooter was bullied kid, did attack on exact anniversary of other attack he admired, hacked a Sunni Muslim girl's Facebook page so as to invite her friends (other Sunni) to the McDonalds so that he could kill them.

Sabina Sulaj (pictured), 14 and originally from Kosovo, was gunned down along with her friend Armela Segashi.

Iranians are ethnically Persian and they themselves make that distinction. There is as much if not more conflict between middle eastern peoples than between the ME and the West. As they populate the west in greater numbers, it's axiomatic those conflicts will come with them. However, I do not believe that to be the case here.

Mentally unstable kid? Yes, whose actions were encouraged by a backdrop of global violence. Jihadist martyrdom propaganda appeals to the disenfranchised. It's revenge, redemption, and praise all wrapped up in one evil package. It doesn't require contact or membership. Just sociopathic tendencies and a perceived axe to grind. Purveyors of it are plenty happy to inspire others who don't necessarily share their views. Weather that's children of immigrants who feel like outcasts, black power militants, or spoiled depressed social justice warriors.

I never expected Life to lead to where we are.

What makes the least sense of ALL about this is how totally Americans go OFF when someone molests a kid in USA but they don't seem to be as concerned when its a Muslim that does it cuz "thats a religious thing".
