So yahoo paid 5.7 bill for broadcast.com which is now a 10 figure redirect link to yahoo.
They turned down buying Facebook for 900 million.
And then sold themselves off for 4.8 billion.

Yahoo was Google. Before Google. Or was it alta vista? Amazing how Google just left them all in the dust, and became the Coke of Search Engines. When I first got on the net in 1997, I remember my favorite Search Engine was DogPile.
Cuban has a good laugh everyday. And I think he'll be POTUS by 2024, if not earlier.

Marissa Mayer is still hot and rich though.

Cuban is definitely the charter member of the "I got rich by being in the right place at the right time and now people think I know everything about every subject" club.

Facebook turned them down. Zuckerberg's words supposedly were something like "If I sell and get 200 million then I'll just start another social networking site and I kinda like the one I already have."

Yahoo had a few opportunities to buy Google for between 1-5B before it blew up though.

And turned down an offer from Microsoft for 45B in 2008.
