Loved Miller when he came to the Orioles for a bit. He's filthy and can win you quite a few close games.

Yanks are selling off, wow

surprised a couple of teams that have quit are quitting, although they are a talent less old squad right now, they're trading the only young talent they have

The Yankees will receive four players in return, a package headed by minor league outfielder Clint Frazier and pitcher Justus Sheffield.
Frazier and Sheffield are considered two of Cleveland's top three prospects. Frazier was selected by the Indians with the fifth pick in the 2013 draft; Sheffield was drafted by Cleveland in the first round of the 2014 draft.
Minor league pitchers Ben Heller and J.P. Feyereisen are also heading to New York.

The stunning trade came less than 12 hours after the Indians agreed with Milwaukee on a deal to send Brewers All-Star catcher Jonathan Lucroy to Cleveland. That swap is still pending.
The Yankees had been entertaining offers for Miller, though the price for the left-hander was considered "steep," a source told ESPN's Buster Olney. The chances that Miller would be traded increased after the Yankees traded closer Aroldis Chapman to the Cubs last week.
Miller, 31, appeared in 44 games for the Yankees this season, posting a 6-1 record with a 1.39 ERA and nine saves.

Miller has more than $21 million left on his contract, which runs through 2018, and sources told ESPN's Jayson Stark that the Indians are on the hook for all of it.
Miller owns a career ERA of 2.72 with Detroit, Florida, Boston, Baltimore and New York. Indians manager Terry Francona is expected to use him in the eighth inning along with right-hander Bryan Shaw as the bridge to closer Cody Allen.
Frazier is hitting a combined .273 with 13 home runs and 48 RBIs this season in stops at Double-A (Akron) and Triple-A (Columbus). The 21-year-old outfielder is hitting .238 in 21 at-bats since recently being promoted to Columbus.

Sheffield, the nephew of former Yankees slugger Gary Sheffield, is 7-5 with a 3.59 ERA. The 20-year-old left-hander has made 19 starts for Lynchburg, the Indians' Class-A team in the Carolina League.
The Yankees made another move Sunday involving their bullpen, acquiring reliever Tyler Clippard from the Arizona Diamondbacks, as first reported by FanRag Sports and confirmed by ESPN's Jim Bowden.
Clippard is 2-3 with a 4.30 ERA this season.

Brewers' Jonathan Lucroy vetoes trade to Indians.

Milwaukee Brewers catcher Jonathan Lucroy has vetoed a trade to the Cleveland Indians, a source confirmed to ESPN's Jim Bowden.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel first reported the news Sunday.
The Indians were one of eight teams on Lucroy's no trade list. The Indians will continue to try to convince Lucroy to change his mind and accept a trade to Cleveland, however, a source told ESPN's Buster Olney.

A two-time All-Star, Lucroy is batting .300 with 13 homers and 50 RBIs this season. He has a $4 million salary this year as part of a contract that includes a $5.25 million team option for 2017.
According to reports, the Brewers would have received four minor league prospects from the Indians if Lucroy signs off on the trade. Included among the prospects would have been prized switch-hitting catcher Francisco Mejia, 20, and outfielder Greg Allen, 23.

Shortstop Yu-Cheng Chang, 20, would also would have been headed to Milwaukee, along with another prospect.
Lucroy had told the Journal Sentinel this offseason that he wanted to play for a contender.
"I want to win and I don't see us winning in the foreseeable future. I want to go to a World Series. That's what all players want. Rebuilding is not a lot of fun for any veteran guy," he said.

Lucroy was held out of Saturday night's 5-3 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates as Milwaukee considered trade possibilities. The New York Mets and Texas Rangers were among the teams linked to Lucroy, with New York reportedly offering a three-player package that included the club's own catcher, Travis d'Arnaud, along with a top prospect and one more piece.

The Indians have been in the market for a catcher since Yan Gomes was put on the disabled list on July 18 with a shoulder injury. Gomes, who struggled most of the first half of the season, is expected to miss four to eight weeks.
With Gomes out, Chris Gimenez and Roberto Perez have been sharing catching duties, but neither has been productive. Gimenez entered Saturday's game batting .200, and Perez -- who missed six weeks with a broken thumb -- is in a 1-for-23 slump.

The Cardinals quietly acquired lefty reliever Zach Duke from the White Sox. He's not in the Andrew Miller-Aroldis Chapman class, but he's pretty good and cost a lot less in prospect value. Robin Ventura has used him as a LOOGY -- 53 appearances, 37 innings -- but he's held righties to a .182 average so can pitch full innings. Good move to add depth to a bullpen that needs it.

In defense of Jonathan Lucroy and players in general if they have a no-trade clause to a team they should never be traded to that team without PRIOR consent because it's a violation of a contractual agreement. Lucroy should not be put in this position, not fair to him. That being said, in my opinion he is making a huge mistake. Chance to catch AL best rotation and impact closer and play for WS champion Terry Francona...to say he is worried about playing time in '17 with competition with Gomes is a joke. Lucroy clearly would have been every day catcher without a promise no team can give any player. Hope he changes his mind quickly before he ends up being traded to a place he doesn't want to go to but possibly won't be able to mix it since he doesn't have no trade rights to 21 teams.
