Celebrity first pitches are usually a routine affair, with the celebrity (and crowd) just expecting a gentle lob from in front of the mound that may or may not be near the strike zone.
Then there was John McEnroe on Monday night. The eccentric tennis great went all out with his first pitch at the Yankees-Mets game at Citi Field, bringing heat and accuracy from the full 60 feet, 6 inches in a way we've rarely seen. Take a look.

John McEnroe threw out the first pitch, and it was GAS. Put him in the bullpen!

Lefties with that kind of stuff are always in high demand. And McEnroe has clearly honed his stuff since he threw out a first pitch last year.
Expect a phone call, Mr. McEnroe. A lot of teams still need bullpen help.
