This pilot took an unruly passenger for a hard landing — planting him on the floor after the loudmouth manhandled a flight attendant.
“You don’t put your hand on my flight attendant!” the unidentified American Airlines pilot shouted at Michael Kerr, who threatened to break the pilot’s jaw and repeatedly refused to return to his seat before pushing the female attendant.
Kerr, 25, was trying to force himself off the aircraft after it landed in Charlotte, North Carolina, on July 21. The door was open but the jet bridge was not in place yet.
“Move! Move! Move!” the Kentucky man said repeatedly as the attendant and pilot blocked his path.
The pilot said: “Take a seat. I said take a seat, sir.”
Brian Colón, 23, who shot the video, said he feared for the attendant’s safety.
“I felt like the flight attendant’s life was in danger, and I felt like someone else needed to step in, the way he treated her,” Colón, a flight attendant for Norwegian Airlines, told the Lexington Herald-Leader.
After the takedown, the pilot also shouted, “Enough! You hear me?”
“I’m completely relaxed,” Kerr slurred before adding: “Whatever you do is going on Facebook and you’re a f— loser.”
The Lexington man, who was hauled off by cops, allegedly drank three Jack Daniel’s before his meltdown, which included spitting at flight attendants, the paper reported.
He was arraigned Monday in federal court on charges of being intoxicated and disruptive, assault on a female, communicating threats and interfering with a flight crew or attendant, the Charlotte Observer reported.
Kerr was released on $20,000 bond and banned from flying on commercial airlines.
He also was forbidden from contacting the flight attendant, who has been undergoing physical therapy, the Lexington Herald-Leader reported.
Her friend Tanise Love told the Observer that the flight attendant is “as angry as anyone would be, but she’s also very forgiving. I don’t think she’s so much focused on the assailant or his wrongdoing, she’s just focused on getting better.”
