Just curious if anyone is winning any significant money. I do not really play DFS, I put in like $100 last winter and lost it and probably won't try again. My biz partner loves it and he won $7000 a couple weeks back on a golf contest. Anyone win big?

I have lots of small cashes and one decent size. But I mostly only play the 3 or 4 dollar ones for the most part.

I see many of the same guys win or at the top. I already commented on some of them. Guys named awesomo, DollarBillW, splash bros, ehafner......they win constantly and I really don't know how they do it.

I would assume.....but it still seems like they win or in top 10 every night. Is it that easy to just put in lots of entries and win. I'm talking hundreds of thousands with these few guys.

It takes more skill than people would think. There is a reason it is only a few people doing it.

Variance on that can be brutal if you go a few weeks without winning, but the ROI for them is generally pretty good. I would say like 8-10% range on average.

It seems like both sites are transitioning more towards presenting DFS as fun, interactive and entertaining rather than a money making endeavor now that they are entering the maturity phase and leaving the growth phase. With this will likely come increased rake on GPP's (you see this in the week 1 NFL tournaments released) so profitability will continue to erode I tend to think.

But the best players at GPP's should continue to be good, it'll just be harder.

The guys I listed.....are in the hundreds of thousands won range. To me, it's mind boggling.

Yeah, well it is the type of endeavor that if you can crack that code, then scaling it out in those GPP's is not that hard. You're just replicating what is working over and over and over. It isn't like poker where there is more of a finite limit to the number of hands and tables you can play. It is more like say day trading where as long as you know what you are doing, there isn't much of a limit on how much you can make. Atleast not for people who are just trying to get moderately rich.

Some of those guys might not be profitable though, they just have $ to blow.

My friend & I hit 3k twice in a span of a week back during Match Madness. Other than that $100-200 tops for the rest.

i won over 3k this year on a $3.00 moonshot entry.. I love playing for entertainment only.. There are guys playing hundreds of lineups per slate. i had 10 lineups when i won this prize. If you go into this thinking you are going to win big prize u will go broke quick. Make a lineup or 2 throw it in a gpp and have some funs. Pros out there eat people alive. I love DFS because it keeps me up to date on all the players/injuries, hot teams etc. The value of learning all the players in the sports is so valuable in my opnion.

$4 or $5, I think

dabbled in a couple of low cost contests at the very beginning of last football season, where like half the people get paid

was just testing the waters, decided I don't have the time for it

I am a small time DFS player. However i love listening to Daily Fantasy talk on my drive home from work everyday on xm. Even when i'm not playing, its still fun to listen to. Funny thing is there were times the analysts would mention players that they "like" for the nite and i would stop at a red light and put in a lineup that they recommend (cash game) and win

i won 25 $ once from draftkings . not a serious dfs player , just like to dabble by putting in a lineup or two every now & then & when i do it's usually contests where an entrant is allowed 1 entry only .
