ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that former NFL quarterback and Heisman Trophy-winner for the Florida Gators, Tim Tebow, is trying to launch a new career as a professional baseball player.
The current commentator for ESPN will hold workouts for prospective Major League Baseball teams, according to his agents.
Tebow's baseball career ended at Nease High School in St. John's County. where he hit a .494 average as a junior.
Tebow has reportedly informed ESPN of his intentions to play pro ball, but will continue working for the station, according to Schefter.
