The three (3) most egregious parts of this are not even within the taped "confessions" themselves, two of these preceded those, and are likely to go unmentioned so most people would never become aware of them:
1.) Questioning Detectives Weigert and Fassbender, under the guise of "for his protection" put Brendan and his Mom up in a local resort hotel overnight March 5 (or whenever that first interview at Brendan's High School took place) during which they questioned/COACHED Brendan as to what he needed to say in the later taped questioning. Brendan's Mom allowed her son to be in the presence of the detectives for hours, alone. None of what transpired on this night was recorded, either on tape or even written notes. Whole overnight to Prep Brendan....didn't work anywhere near as well as they had hoped, Brendan did not "deliver" to the degree the Detectives hoped....in his "confessions".
2.) The Whole reason that LE came to be at the school questiong Brendan was that Brendan's cousin Kayla had told a school counselor that Brendan told her he saw Steven Avery kill Teresa. Kayla later admitted that she got Brendan to agree to do this bcuz she (Kayla) wanted Steven Avery to go down cuz he had seduced and had sex with her sister.....and possibly herself though most likely Steven had tried to and Kayla did not go for it, but Steven was still perusing this. Kayla admitted that she and Brendan made the story up to get Steven gone. Plan that Kayla came up with to get Steven to stop being a perv with her and her sister.
3.) The following video.... (Detectives enlist Brendan's Attorney Len Kachinsky to help solidify the case against Brendan...yes....Detectives asked Brendan's OWN ATTORNEY to help nail Brendan figuring to get this would lock up the case against Steven Avery. Kachinsky instructs his Investigator to do this.):
