We have a forum member PW that has done excellent this season betting the
money line favorites. I noticed that there has been some talk about that
style of betting here and across the street. An awesome run is an awesome
run. NO ONE should try and diminish it. Especially if they have profited from it.
Now with that being said. I have gotten asked about it recently in a lot of e-mails
and PM's here and in the neighborhood by various forum friends in the community.
I think the key is being selective no matter what you are betting (faves, dogs, overs, unders).
I made my name betting Dogs over the years and having great ROI. ML Favorites over -120 are
few and far between for me. I have had several forum friends wanting to get me to try and play
the "PW" style with the ML Favorites.
The Old School Guys say the style of play historically will lead to a dumpster fire.
The New School Guys say the style of play is the future and that Baseball is becoming
more Public/Recreational like how the NFL has become over the past several years now.
So to humor a few forum friends and for me to step out of my own comfort zone ( plus juice and dogs)
I will try and experiment with this style of play. I might just say f*ck it after two days or I might try and
see it thru for the rest of the regular season.
The plays are going to just be flat bet for one unit (I'm putting real money on these so Im taking this little
experiment seriously). If tailing along treat it as an action wager or half unit or whatever. Or just follow along
for entertainment.
