No wonder the Tigers (AND MY BET) lost Saturday night.

"Should be an interesting post-game considering the four ejections from tonight's contest. Home plate umpire Mike Everitt flanked by his crew as he exits the field. Roundly booed by Comerica Park fans as he walks through tunnel. Tigers see five-game winning streak come to an end with 3-2 loss to Angels"

"
Tigers RF J.D. Martinez said he simply told home plate umpire Mike Everitt he was having a bad day. Asked him to own up to it. Surprised by short leash that led to his first career ejection."

"
Tensions were mounting before the rash of ejections, according to manager Brad Ausmus. Team was not happy with how strike zone was being called and felt it was inconsistent for each team. Particularly bothersome were the strike calls below the knees. Ausmus said he's not concerned about Everett working rest of series or future games. Characterized it as an "off night." "

"Tigers DH Victor Martinez argues with home plate umpire Mike Everitt about a called strike in the third inning, resulting in his ejection. Martinez would continue yelling from the dugout, including throwing a helmet on the field."

"What did home plate umpire Mike Everitt have to say following tonight's game? "All of the players, as well as the manager and coach, were warned, and sometimes more than once or twice. I will be filing my report with the Commissioner's office in New York," he said, according to a pool reporter. He also declined a radio reporter entry into interview."

I saw some highlights. Umps K-Zone was ankle to knee. But only for Tiger batters. "One for the Books" as they say.
