I was a sales rep at a local newspaper, was at the office and the General Manager came out of his office and said something and put the TV on in one of the conferences. Of course I will never forget it.

Was running the maintenance on a golf course in Florida when i heard the news. Got out a old shit tv that was probably 15" with rabbit ears and sat on a 5 gallon bucket and watched grainy footage for like 3 hours before I finally just left and went home and watched a real tv.

I was in my 1st month as a teacher. We turned on the news during class just before the 2nd plan hit. One of those things you'll always vividly remember.

In my office, my 10:00 appointment called to cancel, said a plane flew into the WTC and he was going to church instead

I tried to log into each and every news site, the internet was essentially frozen

walked to a local breakfast place and watched the events unfold on TV

after the 2nd plane hit, I called my wife and said I'm picking up the kids at school, I said we're at war and who knows what the next targets will be

she said they already had staff meetings at the school, she's with them and nobody is leaving the school

I then watched TV for 2 or 3 straight days

We had fall ball baseball games scheduled that weekend, we decided to play the games because we thought everybody needed to get back to living life, it was a difficult but popular decision and we raised a thousand dollars in donations for the families

I've been to the top of the WTC 20 times, I brought many Italian relatives there, it's just something I'll never forget

English class, 9th grade... I was 15. Teacher started crying as we heard the news through the intercom... bare in mind this is Costa Rica, it even had a huge impact down here.

I remember being in shock. I knew war was coming, but never anticipated Irak.

Ft. Riley, KS

Stationed there, and was actually supposed to catch a flight that morning from Manhattan to KC, then down to San Antonio to go to Ft Sam Houston.

All flights got canceled, so I ended up having to drive there in my POV

Getting ready to go to work at The World Trade Center, was listening to Imus, he said a plane flew into one of the WTC buildings, thought it was a bit. Turned on TV, saw it was true, saw the 2nd plane make that fateful turn to the WTC. Called my office in a panic, couldn't get through, and sat in front of the TV for hours, until someone from my office called me to tell me they were OK and all got out. Sat in front of the TV almost non stop for the next week, just in shock. Found out a few people I knew died. Life was turned upside down in every way.

Was getting off work on 3rd shift and got into my car when the announcement of the first plane hit. Got home just in time to see the second plane hit. Needless to say, I was tired but didn't sleep that day. Work was rough. Luckily I was a young buck then...never forget.

Just finished a test for my 8am class and hopped in the car to turn on Bob and Tom and some news bullshit was on so turned to another channel and more news was on and actually listened. Rushed home and woke up roommates and turned on TV for the 2nd hit. Didn't leave house for days watching the news except to get gas that was gouged to $5 a gallon.

Same office I'm in today. Was listening to Stern in the lab when news broke. Immediately turned him off and turned on a TV.

i was in las vegas and ended up being stranded there 2 days extra as there was no way out.Airlines were down of course, rental cars were all gone, and buses were all filled up,.....it was the 1st time i was eerie of flying as i now was worried about everyone who was going to be on the plane when i got one.My wife helped me tremendosly working the phones from home with all airlines,i finally got a vision of how the old west may have been back in the day, there was nobody on the streets, casinos were empty, traffic was extinct as nobody went anywhere,..at one time while just looking down the strip in disbelief i imagined horses tied up to the wooden posts, dust flying all around and etc,....then i suddenly snapped out of my daze and came back to reality,.....to end this,my wife got me a seat on usair who was not even my airline as mine did nothing for me,and the trip was one of my best and thee worst in las vegas all in one,i would not want to relive that again

Listening to Howard Stern on the way home from an early class at Rowan. My uncle worked at Windows of the World and just so happen to switch shifts with someone, so he was home. The whole family was freaking out bc no one could get ahold of him. He slept in that day and woke up to like 50 missed calls and texts.

In college English class. Teacher came in and said a freak accident happened and a plane hit the WTC. Then later a kid said another plane just hit the other building. They then closed the college so everybody went to the mall.

Huddles of people stood around the electronics store watching the buildings collapse in shock. Then they closed the mall.

Crazy.
