I love watching the rivalries, I just can't cap it. Too many teams, too many inconsistencies, and way too many games.

It's probably easier to cap, but just time consuming. I'd spend all week going through every matchup, and it would take the fun out of it. I guess it depends how you cap games too.

Why not just try to specialize in one or two conferences? Only cap those games, become an expert on that conference.

Then come share all your wisdom with us. :)

Genuinely Great Suggestion of strategy just....maybe not with The MAC Conference.

MAC is WHACK. They play alot of Weekday Games, so bettors get roped into betting MAC games then really weird stuff happens.

Often that involves downright bizarre officiating or strange play-calling, from Coaching Staff(s). MAC is like the Haunted House of conferences.

Quite Renowned, The MAC, for being difficult to emerge +$$$ over the course of a Season, betting on MAC Games.

If a 'capper wants a "challenge" though.....potentially viable strategy with MAC might be to 'cap the games then just play the exact opposite of what should happen. Longtime Observation of myself & others suggests that might work. It'd probably only produce a small overall Profit though....I don't know of anyone who has tried this and recall only one guy who was committed to 'capping The MAC, lost track of him about 14 or 15 years ago, maybe longer ago than that....I believe that there is a fairly good chance that he went Insane. From messing with The MAC.

It should be noted that the map above shows 16 teams, some of which are no longer in THE MAC (such as Temple).

There are just 12 Teams in The MAC at present.

I used that old map bcuz the teams shown are all still Weird, from a betting perspective. Witness Temple getting beat by Army, as double-digit faves and playing at Home.

Not that this was extraordinarily strange, Army did return a good number of players and Temple, with the exception of last season, is pretty Lame.

Old Map used though cuz once in The Mac a team is Weird. Thats a Theory anyways.

To Illustrate "MAC is WHACK", right out the gate we have stuff that cost Bettors Money.

Good Number of bettors got Western Michigan Broncos right NorthWestern Minus any points an iffy proposition but WMU beat them outright. Or NW beat themselves, more accurately, fumble at the goal line still....

MAC DUDE on WMU did all within his power to knock the fumbled ball back in to play within the endzone where NW actually recovered for a TD (which would have seen them cover the -5/-4.5), the REFs though.....even that was too weird for them so they called the ball out of the Endzone, No NW TD, WMU Touchback.

WMU Dude trying to knock that ball back into play is the sort of inexplicable stuff that happens in MAC.

Texas State as +21 Dog taking down OHIO at home, the day before ALBANY took down BUFFALO at their Home...

Northern Illinois wasn't "too weird" cuz N.ILL having to go play at 7200 feet altitude....at WYOMING, WYO +9.5 (Closed at +8/+7.5)

...it was sorta weird.

Pretty Much I shoulda known to take that 21 with TX State, versus OHIO cuz OHIO kinda hobbled Returning Starters-wise but they were at HOME and who tf is TEXAS STATE ANYWAYS ferchrissakes :):)

BGSU (bowling green) hurting Returning Starters-wise as well, thus I guess did they get plowed by an OHIO STATE team that had even less guys returning from last season but TX ST +21 slipping by me was a tremendous fukkup.

MAC is Strange though, and it scares me.

^lol.
If you want a challenge, specialize in the MAC.
Only way one can finish above 50% doing that is to fade yourself for at least 50% of the season.

Exactly.

Maybe WEEKDAY MAC, in particular.

I know Last Season it got to be RIDICULOUS.

With MIDWEEK MAC.

Pretty Much MAC is a NUTHOUSE, 'capping/betting wise but last season's Midweek MAC just, was like the worst ever.

Honestly I dont bet a lot of the big hyped games even tho I did play Texas last night. I play a lot of Northeast related games and have done fairly well over the years. Smaller conference games I believe is where the money is at with a few bigger games sprinkled in. In all my years I have never found any edge in College Hoops. I played Andrew Langes totals as they were very sharp and he drove the line 2-3 points at release. Last year he came back to earth and showed a small loss after a very hot start but I bailed as he wasnt even close down the stretch so I made a very small profit. Should have just faded his plays but kept thinking he would get hot again and I would jump back on. I have tried to Cap College Hoops but just said its not for me. Im a big Hockey guy so I honestly dont need to bet it.

GMR, is there a specific conference you like as a goldmine in FB, or you like it all?
