Raiders for me...

I dont get all the love for Jax
That defense was atrocious - the offense was covering up a lot of their short falls

Jaguars defense is much improved over the last two years. Look at their additions.

Good thread because both teams are relatively similar. Both teams have been recently bad over the years. Both young offenses are coming off years that showed potential. So it is a good question at which one will show up if either.

Jaguars division is bad. They can beat any of those teams on a given day. Colts always get at least 1vs them though.

Oakland have to see defending champs twice. Don't care who starting qb is for Denver. That's still a tough task. And kansas city twice, a division rd playoff team last year. Oakland probably the better team by a little bit but their schedule does them no favors to end up with a better record imo. Including four 1pm east coast ganes

Prince amukamara, malik jackson, the #3 rookie who didn't play last year Dante Fowler is back, davon house corner from greenbay, rookie jalen Ramsey, and they picked up a few guys last year that are in their second year with the defense now. Jaguars look solid to me. Bortles can't have too much of a set back year and I don't think he will.

Agreed on all counts. Raiders the better team by a nose but rough schedule.

Raider 8-8
Jags 7-9

Like both under season totals.

I think they both win at least 10 games and win their respective divisions. So it's a draw until/unless they meet in the playoffs.

The AFC South is no longer the Colts to lose unless Luck plays out of his mind. Texans, Jags, and Texans are all better especially Jax. Defense is all new names. Unless they all bust which is unlikely should be very improved.

Hell I think Oakland will win the division. I like Houston to win the AFC South. I think the Jags will be improved and much more competitive but I see a 7-9 season.
