Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Atlanta Falcons
Line: Falcons -3; Over/Under: 47.5
- The Buccaneers won both meetings last season despite being an underdog in each game (+7.5 at ATL in Week 8, +1 at home in Week 13). Both games went under the total.
- Tampa Bay is an underdog for the 24th straight time on the road.
Line: Vikings -2.5; Over/Under: 40.5
- The Vikings were an NFL-best 14-3 ATS last season (including playoffs), covering in each of their past seven road games.
Line: Eagles -3.5; Over/Under: 41
- In three seasons under Chip Kelly, the lowest O/U in an Eagles game was 44.
Line: Bengals -2.5; Over/Under: 42
- The Bengals went 13-3-1 ATS last season (including playoffs), covering in all eight of their road games.
- The Jets have covered their past four games when listed as a home underdog (2-2 SU).
Line: Saints -1.5; Over/Under: 51
- The Raiders went 5-0 ATS (3-2 SU) as a road underdog last season.
- The total has gone over in five straight Saints home games.
- The total has gone over in 20 of Derek Carr's 32 career starts.
Line: Chiefs -6.5; Over/Under: 44
- The Chargers covered four straight games to end the 2015 season, including a 10-3 loss as an 11.5-point underdog at Kansas City in Week 14. Only the Vikings have a longer active streak of covering (five straight games).
- The total has gone under in each of the past four meetings between these teams.
Line: Ravens -3; Over/Under: 44.5
- This marks the seventh all-time meeting between these teams and the sixth time the Ravens are favored. The total has gone under in five of those previous six games (never with a closing O/U over 44).
Line: Texans -6; Over/Under 44
- The Bears are an underdog in their 18th straight road game and for 20th time overall in their past 22 games. Chicago is 5-2 SU and 5-1-1 ATS in its past seven road games.
- The Texans went 4-1 ATS (4-1 SU) as a home favorite last season.
Line: Packers -5.5; Over/Under: 48
- The total went under in 12 of the Packers' 18 games last season (including playoffs). Of Green Bay games with a total of 48 or higher in 2015, six of the eight went under, including five straight.
Line: Seahawks -10; Over/Under: 44
- If the line remains at double-digits, it will mark the 19th time the Seahawks have been favored by 10 or more with Russell Wilson as their starting quarterback (including playoffs). Seattle has gone 10-8 ATS (16-2 SU) in this spot, having covered six out of its past eight as a double-digit favorite.
Line: Pick; Over/Under: 46
- The total has gone over in all seven meetings between these teams at AT&T Stadium (opened in 2009).
Line: Colts -3.5; Over/Under: 51
- Andrew Luck was 0-4 ATS (1-3 SU) as the favorite last season. Luck went 21-10-1 ATS (25-7 SU) as the favorite in his first three seasons (including playoffs).
Line: Cardinals -6; Over/Under: 46.5
- The Cardinals are favored over the Patriots for the first time since September 29, 1991 (ARI won, 24-10, as a 6.5-point fave).
- The Patriots are 4-1 SU and 4-1 ATS in their past five games as an underdog.
- Prior to this season, the Patriots had been a Week 1 favorite in each of the past 12 seasons (lost 31-0 at Buffalo as a 1-point underdog in 2003 opener). That run was more than twice as long as any other active streak entering 2016.
