    RIP - -- we have lost one of the best pitchers in the game and one of the most joyful players as well.

    Trying to remember if there was ever a Super Star like this killed during the season. Maybe the Great Clemente. Unreal and sad news. May God be with his family during this time.

    Since it was a boating accident, it reminds me of the Tim Crews, Steve Olin, Bobby Ojeda boating accident during spring training in 1993 where Crews and Olin were killed.

    I read that Jose never drove the boat and that drugs and alchol are not suspected to be involved.
    Boat was said to be going full speed which in that type of boat could be up to 55 mph. They were killed by the impact

    The biggest question raised....is why was the boat pinned close to the shore on the pitch dark water..... 60 mph in the pitch dark...you have got to have some serious balls ....
