Fuck all these politicians.....liberals, conservatives...all of them!

The day after it became public that billionaire casino magnate Sheldon Adelson gave $20 million to a super PAC with close ties to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), three GOP senators introduced legislation that would effectively ban online gambling — a measure Adelson has long pushed for.

The super PAC, the Senate Leadership Fund, backs Senate Republicans and is run by McConnell’s former chief of staff Steven Law. The group received $28 million in August — more than it raised during the entire 2016 election cycle. The vast majority, $20 million, came from Adelson and his wife Miriam. The contributions were made public on Sept. 20, per Federal Election Commission filings. The legislation was introduced Sept. 21.

The bill is a revamped version of a previous Adelson-backed measure that would ban Internet gambling. The latest version was introduced by Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.), and co-sponsored by Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Mike Lee (R-Utah). The measure would prohibit financial institutions from processing Internet gambling transactions.
Graham in 2015 introduced a previous version of the bill, Restoration of America’s Wire Act.
Adelson is a major GOP donor and chief executive of Las Vegas Sands. In 2013, he launched a campaign warning that Internet gambling is dangerous for children.
A spokeswoman for Cotton’s office did not immediately return a request for comment Tuesday.

This is a thread that should be on top of this forum two days from now instead of what turd won the debate. Whichever one of those two misfits wins won't affect the RX community as much as if a bank transaction ban is passed.

This is one of the ways the Bush RINO geniuses in the GOPe lost the House and Senate in 2006 and later the presidency in 2008.

and democrats have never even attempted to make it legal

they've controlled everything on more than one occasion, still nothing

the bill responsible is [h=1]S.474 - Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act[/h]isn't that a cute name?

proposed by a democrat
passed a democratically controlled house
passed a democratically controlled senate
signed by a Republican president in 1992

We know the democrats as well as Republicans passed this bill
We know some Republicans want it to stay in place
We know the democrats never repealed the bill when they had complete control of everything from 1993 - 1994 and then again from 2009 - 2010

Anti gambling legislation is a bipartisan clusterfuck, we can't pretend otherwise

As a Republican I'd have to say because of Bill Frist & that Goodlatte guy from Virginia cost me more
money than any Democrat ever did. Senator Bill Frist (R-Tenn) attached the UIGEA legislation to an
unrelated port-security bill just moments before it was voted on. It was the religious right who were
the primary force behind the bill. Neteller, Pinnacle, WWTS & Olympic left the US market, it was a tragedy!

Willie still blaming dems. Hysterical.

Reading comprehension issues or just being an ass? He stated "anti-gambling legislation is a bipartisan clusterfuck." What part of bipartisan did you miss?

This clearly states that three GOP senators, led by Mitch McConnell who took a bribe from Adelson, introduced legislation to ban online gambling.

I gave all the specifics about anti-sports gambling legislation. It's already illegal y'know. It was passed in 1992.

But if you think otherwise, and if you think it's the Republican's fault, then you have nothing to worry about. You see, a democratic president has to sign it

Don't bother, there's not a rational thought to be found, ever, about anything. It's just not there.
