I am having a dispute on an advertised price for something that was on Craigslist. It was listed at one price 26 days ago and was updated with new price 15 days ago. Anyone able to help me find the ORIGINAL ad so I can prove it had the lower price? I cannot get it to work on Wayback Machine....someone know a way? Help! Thanks.

did you update the listing or end/delete the original and do a whole new listing at the new price?

so the price has gone up? what happens if you can prove it?

it's like going to the grocery store with an ad from the past asking for them to honor that price.

even if you can prove it had a lower price all that is going to happen is the guy is going to say, "well yeah I guess you should have bought it then, in fact i think I'll raise the price again"

They are willing to honor the price I say it was originally listed as if I can prove they had it listed at that price.

Maybe they placed the exact same ad again, but with a higher price... and the old one is still there. A double posting?

And BTW... I assume hookers do charge more for services, the closer to payday/weekends, so maybe wait till monday or tuesday to get the best rates?

I don't know of any way you can prove that. I've had ads I've put up deleted for some reason and it's gone, no way to find it or the history of it.

That's weird that the guy is offering you that. It isn't a business running a sale or handing out coupons, if he wants to change his price he can do it. He may know there is no way you can prove it and that's why he said that.
