Please Explain ....

Doesn't matter to me, I was on the Jays ... but you would think, he would be used

I couldn't believe Jimenez came into the game

with his "stuff", I was worried one of the Jays' big bats would very likely get a hold of one, duuuuuuh

and if you want to use a starter, why go to your worst one?

looks like Buck was playing for the next series, which will now be in Florida in March

TORONTO — Zach Britton, his shoulders slumped, standing in the center of the Baltimore Orioles clubhouse Tuesday night, tried to come up with the right words, but like everyone else, had no answers.
...
“It was just frustrating having to sit there watching that,’’ Britton said, “and not being able to pitch. It’s frustrating watching the guys battle ahead of you. You want to go in there, and do the same.
“But it’s not my call.
“It’s not my job to put me in the game.
“That’s Buck’s call.’’

since aug. 25th ubaldo was the best oriole starter, problem being he has no experience as a reliever. If he wasn't going with Britton, Bundy would have been a better choice

Ubaldo threw 5 pitches for 3 hits and 3 earned runs lol.. Buck shoulda at the least walked Encarnacion to load the bases and hope for a double play. Horrible managing

+1

No reasonable explanation, have I found, as to why Buck made the decisions that got made. Its a real mystery.

No Bring In Zach then pitch to EE? Buck is considered among the very best "Strategists" in all of coaching, I've heard talking heads call him a "Genius".

If Buck is that these decisions just become even harder to understand.

At least it was good to see you sweat the game.....Buck had his reasons I guess.....tough to second guess one of the brightest minds in baseball....but I can see the criticism coming from others....tough to explain....

especially when Ubaldo gets into trouble early in the inning. Kinda of fitting, strike one was the first hit, strike 2 was the second hit and the 3rd strike was the HR and your gone!!

if you wanna argue in defense of him and being a strategist, or a genius or whatever you want thats fine, but the most indisputable moment was when there were 2 men on with 1 out. HE HAS TO BRING BRITTON INTO THE GME IN THAT SPOT. its not debatable. "This year Britton recorded 9.14 ground balls for every fly ball. Rangers reliever Sam Dyson was second best in the league with 4.09 ground balls per fly ball allowed. Third-best was Jeremy Jeffress at 3.75. In other words, Dyson and Jeffress are hard-throwing sinker-ballers who stand out for their ability to generate ground balls; Britton is an outlier that defies full comprehension."

with your season on the line needing a double play or a strike out, he struck out 74 in 69 innings so if he doesnt get the ground ball, there is a great chance he gets the K. he left the best pitcher in the pen.

Buck needs to go. Guy is a proven loser and last night was the final nail in the coffin.

Yeah, get rid of Buck and make O's irrelevant again for another 16 years. But yeah, IMO he messed up with the pitching by not using Britton. Also, Os only had 4 fucking hits and got no hit the last 6 innings. If the bats did their job, we aren't talking about this.

Well the Mets used their closer to get a hold and it didn't work out so well for them

Maybe not using the closer for a hold is the way to go
