This thread should get more hits then a political thread.

Like we care about your personal matters.

This is a tricky one.

In this situation, outing them on the forum is potentially one of the only trump cards you still hold. It might among be their only remaining motivation to pay you. Once you've outed them, you lose that. In addition, you might piss them off to the point where they use that as an excuse NOT to pay. "Well I was gonna pay you but then you went and aired our dirty laundry so now I'm not going to." They use it as a way to rationalize and justify it in their heads.

On the other hand, in the interest of protecting the forum population in general, you don't want to wait so long that they have a chance to stiff someone else.

I suppose it depends on the level of contact they are maintaining with you, if they're making partial payments, etc. In general I would say a month with no payments, a week of which there is no contact, warrants outing.

I would say, 30 days, if no payment whatsoever is made.

Did they offer any type of payment, are they still in constant contact with you, or payment arrangement if the balance is pretty big?

This is the OP that wants all the political threads moved out of the offshore.

But he wants to start some BS thread about his personal matters.

This thread should have priority over a political thread....lol

Have a good one!

What a fucking dope. Clearly butt-hurt that he thought he had some kind of clout around here, and then his threads finally started getting moved.

This thread is relevant to the topic of sports gambling.

You have a dedicated forum to post your poly garbage. Why is it so hard for you to keep it down there?

People can and do have bad stretches, so I wouldn't call anyone out if they're making an effort to pay or at least work things out.

But if they're ignoring you, that's different

It isn't fair but I think it also depends which side of the coin you are talking about.

The house should be MUCH more prompt in payment than the player. They have to uphold the reputation. With that being said:

I think a player should have 1-2 weeks before being called a stiff (They should pay within a week). Although if they have a reasonable excuse I can see that extending to 3-4 weeks. After that, they are dodging you in some form or another.

For the house, they should pay within a week. with a valid excuse I can see 2-3 weeks. After that I'd think about moving my business somewhere else.

I'm not sure what situation you are in but I do think if you are talking about a bookie, I would tell us if his delay has been over a month. You are potentially fucking over a lot of other players on the forums. I'd be mad if I got stiffed and a simple thread could've prevented it. Maybe just PM random people that ask so you relinquish some leverage but there is still some remaining.

agree that the rules are separate for house vs player....

I wouldn't call out a stiff in 2 weeks. If that was the case, everyone is a stiff lol

I think 2 weeks is more than fair unless there is something. (out of town, busy with work, forgot, etc.) If there is no excuse then something is wrong.

I would ask for a good faith payment if the balance is too high for the player to pay at once. No good faith payment after a week or two let the shame begin.

I think it depends on who the poster is for how long you wait.

I bet you have a pretty good idea if you're going to see the money or not.

Well there are only 8 regular posters that post here so if 7 of them posted in this thread we eventually gonna figure it out .

JC hasn't bitched about one of his fantasy players in over 24 hours so I'm getting suspicious
