But Arietta is faltering... Bumgarner will get the win for the scrappy Giants.

Cubs are vastly overrated, the media darlings. They are tough with Lester, yes, but after him they are vulnerable. Giants get the win tonight but Cubs prevail in the series. Cubs will lose the next round, though, especially if they need to use Lester again vs. Giants.

Giants were -134 at my book on the over night.

Bumgarner on the mound at home in a elimination game and the line drops 30 cents.....Makes you wonder.

I`m a line movement guy.

I`m on the Cubs.

Good luck!

You're from St Louis. That's the only explanation for your comment.

They aren't overrated. They have a solid staff top to bottom. Lights out closer. Deep lineup.

They are the best team in baseball and will complete the sweep tonight.

He's not undefeated in the playoffs.

I have great respect for him, but I wasn't passing up +116 on the Cubs in this spot.

Not sure how anyone can say the Cubs are overrated. They have one of the best pitching staffs 1-5, probably the best bullpen, very good defense, deep bench and way above average hitting. They are the only team with no major holes and are well rested. Ill take the Cubs tonight too.

I don't think anyone rational disputes that the Cubs are the best team on paper, but if it were as simple as picking the best team then this forum wouldn't exist...the best team in the history of baseball still lost about 1 out of 3 on average

This is an intriguing line move, no doubt, and if I were planning to make a big wager on SF it would cause me some concern, but line moves are only one piece of the puzzle...sharp money wins more than it loses, but it can't predict the future

When the bases are loaded late in a tie game what happens to the next pitch is decided by fate, not money

I don`t pay much mind to umps.....But i did notice home plate ump in the Cubs-Giants game......Larry Vanover....9 Overs/20 Unders

That`s a shit load of unders.

Just passing it along....I know certain guys like the ump angle.

Good luck!

i know you like your line move plays and bet accordingly, I see your plays and you've been hot for MLB Playoffs.

In general tho, it's a bankroll crusher. Chasing random line steam w/o knowing the two crucial facts: WHO is moving it and WHY

I've lost so much money chasing random steam in my lifetime.

i would add that bum got many high strikes an snydergarrd complained after game an during that no low strikes were called. it sure seemed that bum got the better calls but still great but mets only hit 2.42 this year. cubs 2.66

I think the opposite....It fattens by bank roll more then not.

We had 1 big line movement play in the playoffs thus far.

That was Game 1 between the Blue Jays and Rangers......The Rangers went from -145 to -111.

Blue Jays won that game 10-1

I always ask myself why would the line drop?

Why not keep Bumgarner at -132....The guy is a playoff stud.

My way of thinking is....Big money knocks a line down 30 cents.

We`ll see how it goes.

Good luck!

Cubs have the best corner infielders in MLB bar none ("D" + OBP + power), Russell is a top notch plus fielding and hitting SS. The other starters are OK, like .220 hitting RF Heyward is a great defensive outfielder. Zobrist is a solid hitter. Fowler is a streaky hitter.

Right now Lester is one of the top 3 starters in MLB, especially for a money game, but Arrieta has lost his mojo, and Hendricks had a fluke year but it is highly unlikely he will continue this way. Chapman is a great closer. The rest of the staff is so-so.

Cubs were very fortunate this year, suffered very few injuries compared to others (chubby slugging LF Schwarber for the year, Fowler a couple times for a few weeks).

Sure they could win it all but after they beat SF in 4 or 5, LA or Nats could knock them off easily and if they make it the AL winner would be equal to the task.

(Arrieta is having problems, another good idea tonight is SF TT over 3, though they are not hitting, and the weather might be chilly and home run adverse... so SF and SF "O" 3 runs).

I'm a chicago fan, but I don't think they are overated, they had more injuries then you think Rondon and Strop were injured for awhile as well as Lacky, They are stronger then last year so I think they have a great shot!
