Romo makes WAY to many mistakes. I think he has a little Downs in him. Dak is the real deal and with Elliot running behind that line he looks a click better than he really is. cheersgif

Prescott until he has a bad game. Give romo a chance and if and only if prescott has a bad game....and if ROMO plays like a homo, then put prescott back in again and release ROMO.

depends....I mean, if Dallas loses next 2 and look bad it could be different than if they win the rest of their games until Romo comes back.....the pathetic part, and I am a Dallas fan is that we hear from the owner about personnel decisions. Jerry is pathetic.

Prescott is fools gold just like all the others. Dink, dunk, read option only works for about half a season and then he proves he just like the rest of them.

Besides, his name is Dak. No one named Dak will ever be a qb solution. Might as well be named De' Shaunte and have dreads

Jerry Jones sounds like he'd be willing to stick with Dak Prescott over Tony Romo
By Will Brinson 24m ago • 1 min read

With every passing week and every passing Cowboys win, things are getting a little more awkward for Tony Romo. He is the quarterback for Dallas, it's his team and there is zero chance of the Cowboys actually not starting him if he's healthy.

Jerry Jones has made it clear that he's rolling with Romo over Dak Prescott regardless of the team's record, right up until he's not. Speaking on CBS Sports Radio affiliate 105.3 the Fan in Dallas on Tuesday, Jones said the team is going "to play this thing out" when it comes to the "great situation" at quarterback.
"It's just a question of him working back in," Jones said. "We've got a great situation here. I just have to pinch myself to think about it. We've got Dak Prescott, who's playing at a level that is very capable of winning these games. We've got the future every time he walks out there. We've got the optimism of the future. It's inspiring. It's inspiring this team. And then we have, in my mind, one of the very top quarterbacks in the league as well."
That sounds positive. This sounds less positive (for Romo):

Except this all really makes a lot of sense. As Jones said, Prescott playing well has provided the Cowboys "the luxury" of taking things slow with Romo's rehab.
"I think what Dak's success has done, though, is given us the luxury," Jones said. "No one is happier about this than Tony. It's given us the luxury to absolutely maximize any thought that we might have of [Romo's] rehab time and just have the ability to weigh that as we go and pick our spots."
Romo's injury is not some sprained finger or hangnail. He's dealing with a broken bone in his back. The initial timeline for his recovery was between six and 10 weeks. This is not hard and fast. Again: BROKEN BONE IN HIS BACK.
The best-case scenario for Dallas is letting Romo spend as much time as possible recovering, getting healthy and maximizing what he can contribute to the team when he returns.
Last year they rushed Romo back and he got hurt almost immediately. Letting Dak get experience while winning games is a win-win-win for everyone involved.
It appears Jones is starting to see that and it's beneficial for the Cowboys team as a whole.

A black guy had to have banged this kid's mom. Plus he is a bitter Colts fan. A team that will never make another SB and will waste Luck's prime years.

Dak is the better long term solution at qb. Romo is a proven loser and his body is broken. Cut ties with him and move on.

I'd still start Romo. The last time Romo was healthy Dallas was a dubious call away from possibly beating Green Bay at Lambeau and going to the NFC championship to face Seattle.

Dez is going to be back by then as well and Romo and him have a better connection than him and Dak.

Dak has been solid and he is probably the future but if the goal is to win this year (which it should be) then I'd rather see what Romo has left. NFC is there for the taking. That division sucks, GB isn't as explosive offensively as years past, AZ/Carolina are both struggling. Seattle and Minnesota only teams really playing at a high level (not putting ATL there yet, they've had some hot starts in the past)

I'd make the decision based on upside and I think that is Romo.

All that based on him being healthy obviously. Who knows, back injuries are a bitch, he could be fucked.

You have to stay with the kid if he keeps playing well and winning

Why the fuck is Jerry Jones the one talking about this? Rhetoric question
