i agree but laid -1 and clayton when needed always comes thru an he has done well pitching on 3 days rest-huge game for lad and for him to silence the critics 2-6 in playoffs an won last week 3-6.

I'm confused as to why it is a bad idea to take a side the day (or more) before the game. Lines can move significantly over a day or a few so why is bad to get probably the best line available?

TMader7 is wrong. Shopping for the best line available is part of handicapping sports.
sometimes that best line is the day prior to the game.
I typicly make my plays final 1-2 days before the game
