You might have thought Rickie Conlan — AKA, Adonis Creed’s Liverpudlian opponent from the movie “Creed” — wasn’t a real boxer, but he is. His name is Tony Bellew, and he claimed a spectacular victory over B.J. Flores for the WBC Cruiserweight Championship on Saturday.
Bellew dominated Flores, knocking him down three different times en-route to a third round victory. And after securing his win, he turned his attention to fellow boxer David Haye, who was in the crowd. Bellew first told him to get in the ring to fight him right then and there. Then, after getting the microphone, he spent the rest of the time taunting and insulting him, trying to goad him into a future fight.
