I said before the Vikings game that Aaron Rodgers was past his prime even though he is only 32. I said his numbers were no longer elite pro bowl status like earlier in his career. We are now 5 games into the season and he is averaging 230 yards a game, two touchdowns, 1 interception and a quarterback rating of 88.

pretty average numbers and even more telling is their offense is not moving the ball and they need his throwing to move the ball.

Now ow who agrees with my analysis?

He's still good, but you're only as good as the players you play with. Same goes with coaching.

He doesn't want to get hurt for tv purposes. He wants to be an actor.

two weeks ago he was great again right?

all this week to week talk is bullshit in the NFL. It's not a zero sum game. Guy is still great, just the settings around him need to be in right working order and today they weren't.

Guys go from greatest of all times to no good anymore and back again about 15 times in their career maybe more. I've seen it with every big time QB out there. its the ebb and flow of the NFL. He's fine and will be fine. I am not a packers fan. NFL though dont get too high or too low on a team or guy. He'll come back in a week or two and throw 4 Td's and this thread will be buried.

GB WRs have a difficult time getting separation.

Rodgers is still a top QB. The average numbers are due to having average receivers.

They'll bounce back and win the next four games imo. He is a game manager and does what he can to protect the ball after watching how much success Favre had while giving the ball away on INT's so much. Rodgers makes that a priority. They still are not healthy and James starks actually helps this team in the rushing attack quite a bit even though a lot of analysts shit on him as a RB, Lacey is not an every down back. Cowboys are also playing inspired football around the young offensive stars. Cowboys usually lose games on defense, but this year their secondary is better than years past. I still question if their pass rush can make consistent impact, but they are swarming on defense this year.

I disagree. IMO he is absolutely one of the top in the league. He just gets into trouble when he feels like he has to do it all himself and stops playing from under center and goes to shotgun too much. GB panics early and goes to shotgun too early and when that happens it's curtains. Only the top elites can do it themselves, like TB12. This is a coaching issue IMO, as someone already said. McCarthy needs to make sure he knows he doesnt need to win it himself. He needs to stay under center! Coaching is the issue.

The team as a whole is out of sync. They have too much talent to be playing so poorly. What should have been easy wins vs Jags and Lions were coin flips going into 4th quarter. At this point, McCarthy is just cashing his paycheck. He costs that Pack points in virtually every game with his decision making.

After Chicago game on Thu, 4 of next 5 for pack are on road. If they don't get their shit together during that stretch, something has to change or their seasons are over.

Rodgers looks like something is bothering him physically. His throws are not crisp. His wr's don't do him any favors either. Seems like any time I notice Adams is when he drops an easy catch.

Dallas flat out stomped them today. Time to focus on getting division win over bears.

He is playing average -- below average really. But I doubt this slump is permanent. Brady had a relatively modest year in 2013 and got better the next two seasons. I know Brady is a high standard, but Rodgers is talented enough to warrant a comparison.

I do think the team may be overdue for a coaching/scheme change. 2010 is a long time ago.

Right. You aren't replacing Rodgers!

If they don't make the playoffs, or make a deep playoff run, they are overdue to make a coaching change.

Also, credit to Dallas. I expected them to come back to earth a bit vs Cinci. Today I passed on the game and was unsure. They are showing me something. And they are foolish to take this rookie out unless his play starts to regress.

Well, they do have Jordy back and the offense doesn't appear to have improved since last year so it's obviously not that. And whatever the issue is, they've had arguably two of the greatest NFL QBs of all time over nearly a 25 year span and only two Superbowl victories to show for it. That, in and of itself, is quite an embarrassment.

A-aron is above average but not top 5 anymore. His lowering QBR shows he's slipped from previous years. A few times, including a big miss with a wide open Cobb in the end zone, he just couldnt make the pass. He's not as mobile as he used to be and he's under duress more than in past years. I think he can manage a game well but his skills just arent quite there and he has some good weapons at his disposal.

GB has beaten Jax, NYG and Det. Lost to Dal and Min. They are an above average team right now. I dont see that changing and no idea how they are laying 10 points this Thursday. That line is absurd. They arent 10 better than any team in the NFL...even the hapless Clowns (which is what we should be calling the Cleveland Browns.....)
