how come we make weird facial expressions when shaving

i know we all do it but really does any of it get us a better shave,.....is it necessary to make those several odd faces when we shave,im not sure if we do it out of habit most of the time,......anybody have a take on this

it tightens the skin where you are shaving so you can get a closer shave

This ^^^ but also motivated by a fear of cutting one's self throughout that shaving process. "Subconcious", this part....the fear, our brain: "Dagone, this is a perilous situation" so contorts our faces.
