Fade, I've got the scores/teams for Game 1 all the way back to 1960, but what I was asking for is the wagering, or listed, totals for the game. I suspect that historically, it's a low number since Game 1 should be the "butterflies" game of the series. You know what I'm playing but was just curious about this stat.

best I can do....not sure how to query just World Series only! Plus you would have to go through and put in each year, so cumulative records can be done over year to year.

I would take the OVER. Lets say the average O/U is 8, which I would say may be on the high side. Below are the totals from Game 1 from 2015 to 2000 (in descending order). This years Game 1 O/U is currently at 6.5. I don't think the "nerves" angle works here. If anything its nerves for the pitcher and runs get scored.

Great intel Hamilbet, much appreciated. I'd say ten out of that pack busted the cherry, but w/o the number, what the hell. I've placed my wager, huge on under 7, can only hope for the best. Temp will be low 40's and wind blowing in to home plate, so other than Bill Murray behind home plate singing "hey batta, batta, batta, hey batta, batta, batta....I've got nothing else to stack the deck with. I'd copilot that plane with ya but gotta ask a few questions. Some of those games were in warm climate venues, right? I pitched in HS and adrenaline is one hell of a weapon, so I don't attribute butterflies to the pitchers, but rather the hitters. I'll admit right out the gate, this is the first "full time" bases season I've played and I'm gonna really miss it, LOL. It's gonna be cold in Cleveland tonight and wind blowing in, shouldn't be any long balls and I think the fielding will be fine, i.e. I don't expect any errors. JMO, I've not made it this long into a bases season in my entire gambling life, lol.

Well, if I was a jackass, I'd come back with the almighty stupid comment, "records were made to be broken," LOL. But ya got two pitchers that are pitching really stupid, in fact, I'd like to know if any two pitchers meeting in a series game had as low as ERA's as these two. I'm willing to bet never, but I'm not that well versed in bases. I mean, both under 1 in the playoffs, that shit has to be unheard of. And Cleveland's BP ain't allowing a run tonight, so you Cubbies players, you aren't leading going into the 7th, Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagettttttttttttttttttttttttttt About it.
