I haven't looked at the stats, but last one I checked was team winning Game 3 after splitting the first two has gone on to win the series 69% of the time. Down 3-1, gotta be a ridiculous number coming back, but this is gonna be interesting. Schwarber now the DH and ya got Arrieta and Hendricks scheduled for the next two, if there is a Game 7. Now, where's my Cuz Sal, LOL???

Think the cubs force game 7. Schwarber helps the lineup immensely.

YA THINK???!!! LOL, If Francona was "loosing sleep" before, tonight might be a two-valium night. Now, where's Cuz Sal???

Wrigley-Ville was acting like they were up 3-1 last night. Funny, we all know what's coming......(the curse lives)

I agree 100%. I appreciate and respect the Cubbies energy. But Arrieta is not what he was last year. Nowhere close actually. And Hendricks has come back to earth. I thought I read somewhere that both Arrieta and Hendricks were both .500 pitchers at best, prior to coming to Chicago. Now they have to go into Cleveland and win back to back games. Not happening! I'll gladly eat crow if I'm wrong. But the Cubbies are just too young, and frankly a little too arrogant (see Chapman and Baez), to beat a loose and very good Indians team.

Should be a fun finish to the series, but I believe Cleveland is going to be celebrating their second championship this year.

I don't know if they were acting like they were up 3-1, but Wrigleyville was just excited to finally see a home win. With that being said, they're confident they can go into Cleveland and win 2 straight. Just energy from the fans, that's all. I kinda had your same thought process when i was watching the late game stuff here in Chicago. As a die hard White Sox fan, i'd never celebrate like that knowing my team is still down 3-2 going on the Road. I know there is work to do, therefore i wouldn't be jumping around like i just won the WS. Still a shit-ton of work to be done, but Cubs fans knows they need to take this 1 game at a time...and will celebrate a win in the WS every single time they get a chance to.

IT WAS THE 1ST WORLD SERIES GAME WIN IN 71 YEARS IN WRIGLEY!!!!

Only time will tell my friend. I'm pretty sure you don't want the Cubs to win the WS, based on your avatar. hahahaha!

Isn't hendricks much more "normal" on the road? I was thinking his stats were only spectacular at wrigley. Note I haven't checked this, just throught I remember that from earlier this season.

If I'm not mistaken, and just got back to the hacienda and didn't check the stats, but I think his postseason ERA this year has been sub-1.

Is it that obvious? Lol. Part of it is just jealousy that we aren't playing for another ring, too. Haha

Haha, it is. Na I feel ya man. Being a STL Cards fan, I completely understand. Don’t worry, I’m a die hard Sox fan. I know your feelings. I have a few coworkers that are die hard Cards fans……they have the same feeling as you.

Hell, if Eddie had brought the band with him last night and they played a set, I'd have called it a great night regardless of the game outcome, LOL. Disclosure: Huge Pearl Jam Fan.

My people my people my people!!!!!!!! Interesting lines and juice on plays out there. Schwarber does help lineup immensely. So Cubs are -144 but Cubs-2.5 is only +175???? Doesn't make sense. Makes me lean Cubs pretty big tonight. Didn't make sense like the last game where Cubs were -235 but -1.5 was even. I was right that was red flag to me and I should of bought off that play. Let's see how the lines and juice play out today.

I stayed off it in all directions for the reasoning you've posted. I'm leaning Cubbies -1 really hard right now but haven't made up my mind. IMHO, this is going 7 games. (H=humble) GL with your action.

And Schwarbs batting 2nd in the order tonight! Like it, get him some more guaranteed ABs. Lineup not officially out, guessing on backend:

1. Fowler
2. Schwarb
3. Bryant
4. Rizzo
5. Zobrist
6. Contreras
7. Baez
8. Heyward.
9. Russell

Regarding Arrieta, I've said it before and it's been mentioned above. Arrieta is not what he was last year...but he's still a pretty damn solid option. His gets into a lot of full counts and can really lose his command 2nd time through order. BUT...Tomlin is not a guy that should have shut us down in G3. If he does again, it's over, but I don't see him fooling this lineup a 2nd time. Cubs need to get 3 off him, and that's more than doable.
