Anyone hear Harbaugh say the other day he takes his kids out and hits a few blocks then takes them home to change costumes then hits the same houses again?

turnout down this year for the first time in 30 years, usually have about 100 give or take. Our neighbors' grandchildren were the highlight of the evening, a sign of changing (aging) times

We usually get a few car pools of kids, which is pretty cool. Families and kids feel safe in our neighborhood which is a good thing, don't mind that at all

My wife didn't buy any chocolate this year, I was pissed. Came home thinking I'm going to raid the Halloween stash

I'd not heard that, gives me a new respect for Harbaugh as my own strategy was similar in that I'd take the kids to the Upper Class Neighborhood, not super rich Beverly Hills of course, but about 2 pegs below that, SubDivisions with real nice houses and each kid would have 2 changes of costume (in addition to the costume they had on, their "Main Costume".: Mask, sheets mainly representing various styles of Ghost, so when we'd locate the houses that gave out the Full Sized Candy Bars we'd just circle.

Kids switching up their costumes and hitting up that house again, profit 3 Full Sized candy bars each kid. It went quite well and the kids loved getting to make THREE COSTUMES. The whole thing was like Kid Paradise. I did not tariff any candy from them my whole "profit" was efficiency, the accomplishment of the operation in the most successful manner, making the best use of our time.

Eventually I wound up running a Krewe of 9 kids. And more wanted to join us but 9 kids....that was too many to manage, peacefully. Just to much scurrying around by the kids, way too much racket.

Insane turnout this year, thousands of kids showed up in my neighborhood. Had to make an extra candy run

Best costumes were trump/hillary

Rain started coming down as I left the store with the candy. Not one kid grabbed an umbrella. I ate 10 pieces before bed and had a major sugar rush !

I don't understand how you ever got to sleep, 10 pieces of candy.

That was the Primary thing that made our Halloween Plan become impossible: the kids eating candy then becoming intensely hard to manage due to Sugar Rush.

I tried to salvage the deal by forbidding the kids from eating candy while we were still out but, Kids are Sneaky.

And you tell a Kid to not do a thing? They do that thing.

TO any who say: "why did you not just enlist add'l adultst o help supervise the Krewe?"

Who do you ask: "OK, heres what we're doing. 9 Kid Krewe crazy high on Sugar, we're gonna run this Halloween Scam and I need you to come along, help supervise the kids."

Right. Not even your Best Friend you've known since Kindergarten would step up.

Hindsight: I wish I'd not done it cuz of Bad Impression made on Kids, would not do it had I the ability to go back.

Whats with the adults that are dressing as Clowns? I've seen a few News stories showing older people dressing as clowns and dirsupting traffic or just acting menacing, wandering around trying to scare people?

Why would an older person do this?

Anyone have any ideas?

I totally am at a complete loss to understand this. Teenager, yeah but why would an older person do this?
