"Dubey and followers are 100 percent correct in asserting that analysis of the previous hand can be useful in predicting the outcome of the upcoming hand, and they have the mathematical studies to prove it."

"What Gwynn and Seri determined beyond any doubt were three facts:

1) If a player loses a hand, he will be more likely to win the next one — i.e., losing one hand is a positive indicator that the player’s expectation on the next hand has risen.

2) If a player wins a hand, he will be more likely to lose the next one — i.e., winning one hand is an indicator that the player’s expectation on the next hand has dropped.

3) If a player pushes a hand with the dealer, it is an even stronger indicator than a win that the player’s expectation on the next hand has dropped."

Good article. Typically not enough to overcome the house edge, unless you spread $5 to $100, where it becomes about a 0.00001% edge for the player. And that is based on s17 rules, which don't exist much anywhere. I think that means at a $5 to $1000 spread it could be worth $10 per hour. But if you can spread that much, it should be worth close to $200 per hour without a much more complicated system

A cool exercise that reinforces how effective a simple hi-lo count with a 1-16 spread really is

hey i had my good nights too...I remember I was on vaca in FLA and was at the hard rock Tampa and had $50 left and my girl was in the hotel sleeping and I was in a casino...uhhh im not sleeping lol.

I went down to the tables and turned that $50 into about $700 playing $25 on 2 hands every deal....those are the nights that hook us as gamblers....those are the nights.

Its bullshit. Probably pushed by casinos to get more people to try and play. The house vig makes black jack a -ev game just like other casino games. You cannot win with any system or whatever. Only way is card counting but that is almost impossible and even if you succeed they will throw you out.

Went to the local Indian place here in Southwest Florida and played the Blackjack Switch... second time I have played it and prefer it to regular BJ. Much more strategy in my opinion and a lot slower. Really like the game!

I see roulette tracking boards where it's hit black 10 times in a row or vice versa with red. Would this method apply to roullette as well? No I guess not.

I've gotten away from table games. Should get back into craps.

Yes and BJ pays even money. I got kicked in the teeth as soon as I walked in on the regular BJ table and really liked the slower pace as I grinded back my loses.

This article is completely true and accurate, but needs some elaboration.

This "situational tracking" is a form of card counting. If you lose the previous hand, chances are you had a bust card
(2-6) in your hand, which then causes a very slight advantage for the player. Which is why card counters count 2-6 cards played
as a positive for the player.

The problem with this "situational tracking" is that it doesn't give the player enough of an advantage to even come close to
overcoming the house edge. If you're going to situational track like this, you might as well learn a simple hi/lo card counting
system, as it's much more beneficial than the other strategy.

Like the article says, if you were spreading $5-$100, you'd only gain $1-$2 an hour.

"In other words, no individual situational indicator is worth more than a few hundredths of a percent, and all of them combined are not worth much more than a few tenths of a percent, in a deeply dealt one-deck game with a big betting spread."

Average win streak is 1.9 hands, closer to two than one .. so a win after a loss you raise ya stack , if it wins you fall back, if it loses you fall back and wait for a win again to try and raise up to take advantage of the average win streak being 1.9 hands... need to vary bet size .. playing at the minimum to create the win after a loss scenerio when u raise... further, if a losing streak is going to be snapped most likely to occur on the 4th hand..so 3 losses in a row , jump in and raise , if you hit , now its a win after loss raise againwin or lose fall back and wait for the scenerio again... i used to always backline people letting them lose theyre money setting up the scenerio for me to jump in and hit then fall back.
