Fantasy sports tech company Draftkings and FanDuel on Friday said they have entered into a merger agreement.

"We have always been passionate about providing the best possible experience for our customers and this merger will help advance our goal of building a transformational global sports entertainment platform," DraftKing

Fantasy sports is a rip off. When you win a contest, its you never get a payout with true odds. The juice you heavy in every congest. And the winnings are paid out to more than half the participants. Their goal is to keep money in everyones account instead out paying out the money to the top winners. The suckers will keep playing with the "winnings" until they get drained out via juice. Those little winnigns will give them false hope that they can win long term and make money...its like those little prizes in scratch tickets...when they win they always keep buying new ticket until all is lost. Now to make it worse, pros will enter multiple entries into big contests minimizing the chance for a regular joe to win....use the research that you do for your fantasy sports and put it twoards sports betting using the same info....if you like a player you can play props or if you are stacking a team(s) you can take over or that team to win etc.

this is a concern for when the GOVERNMENT gets involved in sports betting

I'll tell you the secret to winning [modest amounts] consistently on those sites: Look at your opponents.

Of course, it's not as simple as that, because neither allows you to see your opponents exact records, but if you're on those sites consistently, you kinda get a feel for who the regulars are, the guys that will enter 50 contests at minimum, those are obviously the guys to avoid. But at the same time, you'll also notice the stragglers, generally the newbies, and those are the clowns you pounce on.

Unfortunately, that means you have to stick to the $5, $10, $25, and sometimes $50 matchups; this isn't some get-rich quick scheme, I do it for pocket cash and as you can probably tell, it works out nicely. But if you go for those $100+ one-on-one matchups, odds are you'll be eaten alive by those guys. The big contests also feature those same types of big-time players, hence why I never enter those either. And anyone who knows me will tell you I'm an elite fantasy player, having been active in fantasy sports since the late-90's. But I don't try to vault to the top and go after those guys who spend, literally, 24/7 of their time on putting together teams. Just stick to the smaller games, pay attention to your opponents and who you're entering into a game with, and if you actually know fantasy sports and study this stuff, you can make a good amount of pocket cash.
