[h=2]The Chargers are still considering a move to Los Angeles.[/h]
The Chargers’ stadium ballot for San Diego failed badly earlier this month, opening the door for the team’s potential move to Los Angeles. A deal would need to be struck by Jan. 15 in order for the Chargers to join the Rams in L.A., but discussions have begun.

Rams vice president of football operations Kevin Demoff told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network recently that the two teams have talked about a possible arrangement that would bring the Chargers to Los Angeles.

"There are no hurdles to any deal," Demoff said, via NFL.com. "The relationship between the two owners is in a good place and, I believe the Chargers feel welcomed. Nothing stands in their way of moving if that is what they want to do. I would also say we have no insight on what their decision will be. It's only that we have worked hard to make sure their L.A. option is a good one."

Of course, just because the teams are talking doesn’t mean a deal will be struck by the Jan. 15 deadline. It is a positive development for those who want the Chargers to make the move.

The NFL is not among them, of course, as Roger Goodell said himself. He’d prefer if the Raiders remained in Oakland and the Chargers stayed put.

the chargers were originally from LA, so this wouldn't be a true change but a reversion
to the original. frankly the chargers MUST move somewhere as their present stadium
is a physical wreck and an economic dinosaur. even though the NFL promised the city
of san diego a few years ago, two super bowls if they built a state of art stadium; the
politicians and the community did not have enough political backbone or economic
strength to build a new stadium. many years ago the chargers offered to build a new
stadium with no city cash on the present practice facility. the deal involved some
nearby land development, but it wasn't nearly as lucrative as the deal the city
gave to john moores and the padres for their new ballpark. again the city balked.
FRANKLY THE CITY OF SAN DIEGO DOES NOT DESERVE TO RETAIN THE
CHARGERS AS THEY HAVE NOT BEEN WILLING TO ASSIST THEM IN WAYS
THAT MOST OTHER CITIES WOULD CONSIDER A BARGAIN.

I guess, they were in LA for one year right? Certainly been San Diego my lifetime.
