I feel like he used to try to take his job seriously, but he was still one of the worst color guys. Now, I think he's just said fuck it, I'm doing what I want to do, and it's still nearly unbearable.

Bill is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. Spent time with him at PAC 12 tourney last year and he is a true hoops junkie.

I believe this. He probably is fun to shoot the shit with. I still have trouble listening to him during a broadcast. Really bad when he was working NBA.

Most of the commentators are horrible. I don't feel bad for them. I will stop and listen to a game when Bill Walton is commentating because he is going to entertain me. I am not going to learn anything new about basketball from a basketball color guy. I just want to be entertained. I love some of the tangents that usually end five minutes later with the play by play guy saying something to the effect of "back to the game" or "there is still a game going on here".

Love Bill Walton. Love that he is an original and not a cookie cutter, dull, color guy.

Same with Gus Johnson. He entertains me, so I am going to watch games he does more frequently than some of these dull jerks doing the same thing as the dull jerk on the next channel. Gus brings energy from the game to the viewer at home. Any real insight from him? Of course not.

Don't sit behind him at a dead show. He did bring the celtics to see the dead in Worcester on his birthday. He was such a great player. Man was he good. Commentator .....not so great. Tough on the ears
