it's the greatest kitchen invention in a very long time. bought one in June ... threw away my rice cooker, steamer, and crock pot. it's all now all done with instant pot. cooks rice and beans perfectly in a fraction of the time, made yogurt with it, etc, etc

insane price today....

ok...i'm sold. in the middle of watching that ribs vid above...but if i'm going to use the oven at all...might as well use it the whole time for ribs or anything else. the whole 2 step/appliance process defeats the ease for me. plus in tx...you have to smoke ribs to get any respect with the people i'm around

been hearing about these things for years. but they used to explode or something. that wouldn't be good.

i wonder if i can use it as a christmas gift for wife.

Yeah....I ain't been doing well with my Crock Pot lately. I used to do so well with it. Maybe its Old. Well, it is Old. The inside of the pot is not shiny any more. And one of the handles got melted cuz it got set over a burner. Its hanging on perilously, by a single screw thats not tight anymore, that Handle....due to that melting.

I've really fallen off, with the Crock Pot. This was very good timing.

I had $14.00 on my Amazon Account.

Gift Card.

the problem with crockpots for me is how liquidy or mushy things get...bleh. even though I only use that thing like twice a year
i'm hoping this thing is different and the liquid straight up turns to steam and bounces.

The exploding thing was with non electric pressure cookers...You will have no issues with this at all...And the oven part is optional...I have not used that part anytime...Just took them out of pot and then sauced and let stand...

Yeah, that would be a Negative (-).

I think that would be a great idea but I'm not the person to ask on this. I once gave a GF a Vacuum Cleaner as a gift. And a Used one, at that. This violated some "Etiquette" of Gift Giving to Females based in large part, as near as I can recall, on the fact that we lived together so there was (somehow) an implication that she did not keep the apartment clean enough. I caught a lot of shit for this gift.

Woo. Thats a Relief.

My Toaster caught on Fire a couple of weeks back I tried to heat up Tostada Shells in it. You know, they are much better heated, they're crispier and taste better.

Tostada Shells burn very very good. Like big round matches, really.

Due to the amount of Grease in them....I guess.

"Hindsight."

Toaster was totally ablaze though, raging flames leaping out up from both slots. The Toaster still works though. Pretty Amazingly. Everyone who witnessed it is completely amazed that the Toaster still works.

I just grabbed it, ablaze as it was, and went out the front door, set it in the yard. figuring it would just....burn down.

All that did that though was the Tostada Shells.

If you try to heat Tostada Shells in a Toaster its vital to monitor their progress closely.

Thats the way I felt about it.

I mean.....we needed a Vacuum Cleaner. It was something we'd discussed: us needing to buy a Vacuum, cuz we was always just borrowing people's Vacuum Cleaners.

Later....I was able to appreciate the "LetDown" factor but the massive amount of Grief I caught wasn't based on that.

I'd just wrapped it as it was, unable to find a ample box it was completely obvious and apparent that it was a Vacuum Cleaner. Despite it being wrapped.

Her friends felt like that was...."taunting" her. On top of The Sin Itself.
