Anybody tired of these books being 'one cent' off continually on your balances?

I imagine most bettors don't analyze and track their bets, but for those that do.... one can recently notice a trend where one's balance is always off by a cent halfway through a day of wagers.

Big deal... one cent. Who gives a fuck? Well, it's just annoying when you run daily reports and at your books there's a one or two cent differential.. and then you have to go back and make adjustments.

And this is infecting all the big books.

Most likely this will bug meticulous Willie. Anybody else who likes to crunch numbers and likes accuracy will be bugged by this.

PF1283 - I don't think it's a scam. I could understand 'one cent chipping' over the course of millions of wagers like that big bank software program they implemented a number of years ago to chip microcents off of accounts. But if you look at your wagers, you'll see that they 'subtract' one cent and 'add' one cent.. on both sides. I could run a report to determine the exact difference, but I would guess the point is not to do 'one cent chipping' to profit from customers. And besides, that sounds totally ridiculous. Rather, I believe it is designed in the software to reconcile fractions in wagering.

For example:

-128 odds
24.40 to win 19.07

actual = 24.4096 to win 19.07

The software will retro-adjust and subtract one cent your balance. It will happen on the other end as well, which obviously is in the bettor's favor.

My point is this: If my wager says "24.40 to win 19.07", I want that to be final. That's the final accounting. None of this go back a few hours later and auto-adjust the system.

during Football Season I usually have about 20 scalps a week & reconcile my
books balances after Monday night games. It is a chore, if they are a few cents of
it doesn't bother me, but sometimes my balance differs by hundreds with some books,
then I check into it. If the balance difference favors me I let it go, if it's the other way
I lokk into it. Half the time I'm wrong half the time I catch them in scoring a bet wrong
and call the book in question to correct their mistake.

Beware of books tardy with pennies.

Beware of books showing women in bikinis holding footballs, baseballs, and hockey sticks.

Unprofessionalism, which may or may not elevate, surfaces in many forms. These are simply 2 examples.

This shit is epically annoying.

Playing at my favorite book again... and the cent differentials, like in all the other books, comes from the live wagering platform. Previously they never did this with the live wagering. Now they do. Must be the vendor.

Whatever.

Lord this shit is annoying. No live bets to change the cent... and it happens off of a perfectly rounded -110 wager.

Stupid.

.07 cents on every win (no one is going to call and complain about .07 but if they do I am sure they give them the change)
To make the numbers easy lets say 5000 transactions per month this happens = $350/month.
12 x 350 = $4,200/year going unnoticed.
maybe someone is building up a retirement account?
or a new bankroll for next season? :):)

I've seen that happen only at Bookmaker and BetDSI. I'm a small time bettor so I do notice it. I don't get why they can't round it off to the next cent.

I know this sounds petty, but I just want my wagers to be settled as they were a year ago.

If I bet 55.00 to 50.00 and my bet is accepted, I want that printed ticket to be the final word.

I don't want 55.00/49.99 or 55.00/50.01. I want what it actually says on my ticket to be honored.

Enuff venting.

Most software rounds up and most books don't want to deal with pennies unless they are 100% post up. Credit players and Credit bookmakers do not want their balances in dollars and cents. Most books charge $28 for a $25 bet so they are charging you -112 instead of -110.

Like mine ..I agree

I congratulate you if you're playing 10k a wager. However, if you're playing any of the U.S.-facing big books, they all do it now. It's happening on non-live, regular -110 wagers. So if you're playing 11,000/10,000 (which not many U.S.-facing offer), I don't see how you're not getting cent-clipped.

Woke up this morning to another 'vanishing cent'. Whatever. Just add the extra tracking. And besides, when I've contacted the books in the past about it they act like I'm complaining about a fly on the outside window of a skyscraper on the 40th floor.

Okay, last time rambling about this. Another cent 'arbitrarily' added this morning. No rhyme/reason.

Mine only rounds to the whole dollar. Sometimes i'm up an extra buck and sometimes i'm down an extra buck. It all evens out at the end.
