WASHINGTON — Representative Nancy Pelosi of California beat back a challenge Wednesday from a fellow Democrat who said the party had lost its connection to the American working class, quashing increasingly anxious calls for a change in the House leadership she has directed for 14 years.
Her victory over Representative Tim Ryan, a 43-year-old congressman from a blue-collar district anchored in Youngstown, Ohio, ensures that the party will be led in the next Congress by the established “coastal” Democrats who have increasingly defined it — Ms. Pelosi, 76, who represents San Francisco, and Senator Chuck Schumer of New York, 66, who has held various leadership posts since 2005. The vote for Ms. Pelosi was 134 to 63.

In a way, I have empathy for the democrats who want her removed. They understand the problems the modern democratic party is facing, they know you have to have a more broad based appeal than just urbanites living in a few cities. (oh the irony, eh? who needs a broader base again?)

You see, Republicans don't just control everything DC (for one of the few times in history), what's more reflective of the democratic disconnect is how the Republicans control the vast majority of states.

Much like conservatives living in liberal states controlled by large cities, the more moderate democrats have no chance of unseating a Pelosi because of the representatives elected by those very same cities. Allow me to paraphrase Van Jones, "it's a blackwash"

Politics is racially toxic, and the one sided African American vote makes it such. Racial hatred is fueled by the racial divide our political leaders nurture, and Donald Trump never told white people to "punish their enemies" either (I'm just scratching the surface here)

"I was worried the democratic party might have learned something in the last election cycle, but they obviously haven't"

I don't necessarly share that opinion, I would love to see them reach out to a "broader base"

I've always judged both R's and D's fairly. I don't automatically admonish D's, nor do I instinctively protect R's just because I'm a conservative.

So, in all fairness to Nazi Pelousy...I will say she has a nice, huge rack. She doesn't deserve such a wonderful gift from God, but that's the truth. And it's literally the only positive thing I can say about that miserable battle axe of a hack.

They simply will not adjust much less change. We predicted that it would be the same if Hillary was elected. If it is going to be more of the same then the Dem's will pay the price. One thing is for sure, she would never volunteer to step down.

i'm not gonna lie , if i had a shot to do her ( nancy pelosi ) i probably would . she's dumb as f*ck but yeah i'd do her in a heartbeat . sometimes she looks kinda sexy & yes ...... sometimes she looks very scary
