Clemson up 35-14, their defense is totally dominating the 2nd half

4 possessions, no first downs, -15 yards, and on the 5th possession it's third and long

they don't rush anybody, the QB just stands there waiting and waiting and waiting and finally throws way down field for like a 40 yard completion

5 or so defemsive linemen didn't do anything, they just stood there and watched the play

VT goes on to score, and essentially moved the ball at will the rest of the game AFTER that play

I'm not sure I've ever seen a bigger boneheaded call, and I still not sure how momentum can swing that much

Never seen anything like it before

Dabo had Clemson ML and VA Tech +11 in a rare discorrelated parlay

Said he was going to pay for a Papa John's pizza party and new bus to drive players around the stadium before home games with the winnings

All you need to know about Dabo was evident first week against Auburn and not kicking the field goal, or even just running a normal play there.

You can't trust him for a cover. With the amount of close shaves they've had against horrible teams, the only time you might bet on them is if they are a decent sized dog in the playoffs.

I only posted a video b/c Willie was coaching that game.... (but it was the player's fault, of course)

Whaaaaaaaaat?

It's not hard to distinguish between a coaches decision and a players mistake.

Greenbacks, help me out here, can you post a video of the play I'm talking about

watch the game they lost..i think against pitts. 4 mins left inside opp 20 up i think around 5. instead of running out clock and kicking a fg, they decide to throw throw throw. not only stopped clock but also gave up int to other team. other team came back and scored td and gave them their first loss. honestly boggled my mind how bad the coaching and decision was to cost them that loss and put their playoff chance in jeopardy

SO is this BAD coaching or a pure attempt to shave/cover Vegas Spreads?

Dabo is a buffoon

Went nuts on his kicker last year when he took off for a first down when it was obvious he gave the kicker a green light scenario to run for it if he sees something. Dabo wouldn't let up on the kid, berated him for 20 minutes on national TV and then put him down in the half time interview and the kid just made a bad decision.

Dabo is Slippery. RX member MattyMatt of South Carolina might have the most insightful insight into your question. Same question I have had.

Matty should wander along this way, eventually.

FWIW, I like Dabo, so I'm not bashing the guy other than to say that was one weird call and it changed the game

I like Dabo too. Final week of RXNCAAF when I could not afford Losses, Do-or-Die need for 6-0 I played The Dabo gonna back-off, reign in his troops for both Health Considerations + to allow a Cash with a SoCar Gamecocks +26 ticket angle

and Man, did that Blow Up in my face.

Also....SoCar Defense did, on paper at least, look like they could hang.

Thud.

But man, that play up there is crazy.

Fuck Dabo. A few years back in 2012 he led Ga Tech 40-31 very late. They were across midfield with about 3 minutes left. Tech was out of Timeouts. One first down would ensure no more posessions fotr GT but this cocksucker was throwing on every down. After a first down pass from the 40 to the 18 went OUB stopping the clock (pulling my hair out with GT +11.5!!!) with 1:50 left I was hoping he'd kneel 3 times. NOPE! 2 runs up the middle and the second a TD with .47 left. 47-31 Final.

Dumbo Sweeney is a nerve wrecker when it comes to coaching. Sleeping with his mom in the same bed through college is all you need to know of his personal life...Most of it is bad coaching, some of it is shaving for fellow high level New Spring cult members. All douchery at it's finest...
