are all easily better then anything the sec has to offer and
are both likely better then any sec qb
and as Ive already said deshone kizer isn't in the acc but ND plays an acc heavy schedule
6 guys threw for over 3,000 yards in the acc. another 2 guys were really close
If you're literally going to argue that the sec has good qb's then i'm done with this conversation. NFL scouts think the only ones that are even draftable are kelly and possibly dobbs, and both of those are low draft picks. Meanwhile Trubisky goes top 10, watson and kaaya are likely 1st rounders, and all 3 could come back next year if they wanted.
Watson had 350 and 6 td's vs south carolina
Francois had 480 yards and 2 td's vs ole miss
I guess francois didn't have a very good game against florida if you want to argue that. of course he wasn't asked to do much since floridas offense is so bad.
But you're right, the SEC may very well have some good qb's coming up. Eason should be very good in 2 years, but bame didn't play eason 2 years from now, they played him as a true freshman and as a true freshman he wasn't much. I don't care if all 14 of the sec qb's are true freshman, as of today none of them are very good. What they might be 2 years from now doesn't mean bama played against a good qb this year
I go on to name 3 games against sec teams where in 3 games the ACC qb's racked up 1300 yards of offense and 12 td's. IN THREE GAMES. If thats not competing against "middle of the road sec D's then i'd sure like to hear what your idea of competing is. I do believe in those 3 games those ACC qb's literally had more yards against the SEC defense in question then said SEC defense gave up to any other opposing qb the entire year. It's possible that the ACC guys won't do much in the nfl but I know this, 3 of them are probably going in the 1st round of next years draft, how many sec qb's are going in the 1st round next year?
Your absolutely right on how they project to the NFL and surely they shouldn't be crowned yet. However considering how dominant they have been I don't see much reason to believe it would change much in the playoff. Should Alabama win it all I think what they have accomplished as a program in this era of football is astonishing and incredible. It's a dynasty in the sport and simply jaw dropping. I think their defensive front will disrupt any offensive line they will play and they will continue to dominate, just my thought but excited to watch the games. Not worth arguing opinions but I see alabama's defense proving how great it is in the playoff but we shall see obviosly the oddsmakers feel that bama will be bet heavily since the line opened so high.
The ACC may appear to have superior overall QB play, but they don't have to play against SEC defenses either. That fact makes it very difficult to compare. Watson is the exception, there's no debating how good he is. Having said that, Clemson played a great game last year & lost. Now, a lesser version of the Tigers will have to beat a better Bama team. I'm not saying all SEC defenses are great, but naming a quality ACC defense outside of Clemson & Va Tech is difficult.
If you take a team like Arkansas(whos coach should be fired), and put them in the ACC, they would be near the top. The SEC is that good. But like I said before, Bielema is a train wreck
Bottom line is ACC has Watson, which is a special college talent, but the other QBs would do no better in the SEC than what played this year.....based on stats from the previous games this year.
I just dont get that outside of Watson, the QB play in the SEC is about the same, especially against a conference that may be a little better on the D side.
Bama has played a couple decent QB's this season, but they haven't played any consistent QB's. Chad Kelly is good, but he's not consistent. As for UW, I like Jake Browning, but he hasn't been consistently good against their better competition. So whatever Peterson comes up with for a game plan, it will probably have to involve doing something different with his QB, like getting him out of the pocket and become more mobile. But it's going to be tough for the Huskies after Saban has had a month to game plan for them. I would much rather catch Bama in the second game. The biggest thing UW has going for them is unlike many of Bama's opponents this year, they don't turn the ball over, so it could make it a little harder for Bama's defense to score or set up short fields for their offense. The real battle that I'm looking forward to seeing in that game is Bama's OL vs UW's D-Line. I think UW has one of the best defensive lines in the country. If Bama can't run against them, it will be interesting to see if Hurts can make the big play. To me, that's the key to the game. The second game is a much different story. I think Bama is going to run into some problems with either team. Especially Clemson because of Watson's ability to read defenses and ad lib plays.
Jesus, back in the USofA and this horseshit still going??? Let's start a better thread elsewhere men, DC is some kind of dipshit. Congrats to all Bama and Tiger backers, gonna be one hell of a game.
so no one has nothing to say now
