Everyone I know loves louisville bc of the heisman winner and LSU having a backup QB and RB but man louisville, the one time i watched gave up 10 or 11 sacks vs houston lol LSU has NFL superstars like Arden Key that will be all over that offensive line tomorrow and I know LSU may struggle offensively but they put 50 on the aggies and guice may be just as good as fournette and should keep the louisville offense off the field. I know etling isnt that good but LSU has the best d coordinator in college and with a month to prepare I think Aranda is gonna show he earned that $1.8M salary

whats the thesis for louisville?

I like LSU, new coach liked by team. Should get good effort for the full 60 minutes. Also men against boys, not quite but LSU should be able to handle the birds.

yea i just dont know much about louisville but their line vs houston when i watched was awful. Some samoan or hawaiian guy had countless penalties, seems like LSU with all the nfl guys on the defense could be a big headache if houston was ripping them apart on D

Not sure stats but think Heisman winners have bad bowl games but this isn't a playoff game so not sure what to think about Louisville...
SEC hasn't been great but neither was Lou end of year...

Go back and look at their game vs. Florida St. where they put up 530 yards worth off offense - 314 yards rushing and winning 63-20.

that game vs florida state was at home, everyone knows teams get up for big home games. This is basically a road game in which louisville has played 5 and they went 3-2 away from home with losses to the only good teams they played on the road in clemson and houston while the road wins were vs marshall, uva, and boston college. Louisville has played a cupcake schedule and lamar jackson is incredibly overrated. He's going to face the best d coordinator in college tomorrow who has had a month to scheme. If houston can sack lamar 11 times why wouldn't LSU utterly destroy him?

LSU meanwhile has 4 losses, all to top 10 teams with very good defenses: wisconsin, auburn, florida, and bama

LSU struggles on offense, but louisville has NO DEFENSE. LSU scored over 50 vs the aggies, meanwhile plenty of mediocre teams like houston, kentucky, uva, and syracuse have scored 20+ on louisville. Louisville is very turnover prone as well. LSU scored 42 ppg in SEC play once les miles was fired if you take out the bama and florida games which featured top top defenses. LSU scored 38,38,42,54 in those SEC games post miles. This team isn't as weak offensively as people make them out to be. Guice is a monster and kentucky which is a bottom tier SEC team ran for 200+ yards on louisville recently at louisville.

The public is all over louisville as dogs being that they're ranked and have the heisman winner vs an unranked lsu team but lsu is one of the most talented teams in the nation and all losses were top notch teams. The D will be hyped and ready for lamar tomorrow imo.

Ya, go back to September. They got beat up by UVA, and were crushed by HOU and lost to KENTUCKY! That team is way too Jekyl and Hyde to touch for me - I'd lean LSU - SEC started off poorly, but both teams covered pretty easily today.

LSU is usually one of the most talented teams YoY but they always underperform. I wasn't impressed with them this year. Louisville played poorly down stretch but I think Jackson keeps it close enough so i played them small at +3.5 earlier at Wynn.

dotcom, you state your case well. That is admirable. My problem is that Louisville looked great against Florida St. and Clemson and utterly abysmal against Virginia and Houston. I think people are expecting Petrino to have this team ready to give their best effort. The QB mismatch is glaring in this game. Etling is the proverbial "game manager". Lamar is elite. Guice and the LSU O line have to be able to gash Louisville D, both to score points and keep Lamar off the field. If the LSU run game is effective, they should win.

When I said Lamar Jackson is overrated I really mean it. The media hype machine on the guy is ridiculous. He literally padded his stats vs the most garbage teams all year. His opponents outside of the 3 tough games he played were 45-66 and included Charlotte,Syracuse,UVA,Marshall,Boston College,Wake Forest,Kentucky,Duke, and NC State. The guy had 3 games vs top 25 teams that would be Clemson,Florida State, and Houston. In those 3 games he averaged

240 yards passing and had 1 passing td each game and 2 rush td per game avg, skewed bc of FSU including 0 rush td vs houston

vs the other 9 opponents

he averaged 296 yards passing per game and 3 td and 2 rush td per game

I hate to say it but Lamar Jackson is a peanut brain qb, did you see his heisman interview? the guy may set records for lowest wunderlich score when its his time. Then the guy says he wants to party with manziel, lol sounds like every teams dream for their franchise qb. The guy can dominate when everyone plays 10 yards off his receivers, and yes I know the florida state game he was unreal, again that was early season and at home. Today LSU has had a month to prepare and aranda will throw all kinds of schemes and blitzes at albert einstein jackson and he wont know what hit him. The SEC is a different animal, as fast as lamar jackson is, the entire LSU linebacking core and secondary is just as fast. This isn't marshall or syracuse or whatever other team petrino wants to run the score up on. Louisville may win, all im saying is Lamar Jackson is hyped beyond belief and the guy padded his stats vs one of the softest schedules around. What he did vs Houston in probably louisville's biggest game of the year was ridiculous, 11 sacks vs a mediocre D like that is comical. If that was the lines fault, fine, but whats that line gonna do vs a guy like Arden Key or Davon Godchaux blowing it up today?

they have, and team usually play down in bowl season just today I feel LSU is gonna be hyped. Its not every day one of the most talented defenses around gets to prove itself vs a heisman winner.
