Anyone want a Chalupa whose shell is made out of fried chicken? Debut is late January.

Yep, and all in all, besides being fried, the thing probably is pretty nutritionally structured.

like a lot of foods labeled as bad, when you break down where the calories come from, most aren't near as bad as they seem. Pizza comes to mind. The bread is a killer, but other than that, pizza is pretty nutritionally balanced.

Would love to know the macros.
did a google and can't find anything yet.

Bet it's around 340 calories with 28 to 32 grams of protein. 21 fat and less then 20 carbs

Finally found the macros .

it has exactly 340 calories .

i was off on the protein .

it has only 16 grams of protein which is still not bad but 12 less then I thought.

Has exactly the amount of fat I thought .

But has 12 less protein and 12 more carbs then I thought it would

Wait a second never mind.

Thats the regular flour chalupa.

Which explains the higher carbs and lower protein that I projected.

Still don't have this new item listed yet

Taco Bell claims it's 100% chicken:

[FONT=brandon_text_regularregular]Taco Bell is coming un-shelled with its latest food innovation, coming in the form of the first taco shell made entirely of marinated, all-white crispy chicken

Probably is. It's fairly thin...Taco Bell has gotten better with their meat it seems. Wouldn't say it's quality, but it isn't rotting carcass out of the dumpster either.

But no doubt it will have more protein and less carbs then the flour version which makes this a great fast food option

It will probably have the same 340 calories as the flour version since 1 gram of protein is the same 4 calories as 1 gram of carbs and it's the same size.

the chicken shell will replace carbs with protein and the same amount of calories sounds good to me
