Lines are released

I place bet of 100 to win 105

Line now allows me to bet 100 to win 100 on the other side

Take a guaranteed 5 bucks right? Even if you feel very strong with the original bet?

That's not a guaranteed 5 bucks .
50% to win 5
50% to break even

if the other side wins your even not +5

should of just bet 5 in the first place if you are even thinking of this

What??

Let say I bet 100 to win 105 If the bulls win
Later in the day I bet $100 to win $100 if the bull lose

two scenarios happen.

1.) Bulls win I win $105 and lose $100 on the other bet +$5
2.) Bulls lose I win $100 and lose $100 on the other bet + $0

Only two things are possible I either break even or I win 5 dollars.

I see that I messed up when I said guaranteed 5.. should of said 5 or break even.

Am I missing something in what you are saying??

You're giving up a percentage of your edge if you do. The odds are almost always in the favor of the casino, they are now in your in favor, giving it back is not smart IMO.

How do you know you will be able to hedge later?

You can only hedge if the line moves in your favor.

Correct you don't know. If you knew ahead of time you would be rich. But this is what happened today on One of my bets.

Ok, so what you are really asking is if you should hedge after the line moves in your favor.

No, you should let it ride since you technically have "the best of it"

Only time you should even considering hedging something like that is a longshot future bet.
