tough not to like UGA this year. 2nd year of excellent coaching staff, best RB in SEC, cannon-arm QB with a half year of experience, veteran defense (again, in 2nd year of this staff's philosophy), and very manageable schedule. If they can take down the Irish in week 2 you have to think 9-3 or 10-2 type of season.

Weird year for Tide defense. Lost a lot of players, as usual, but especially at the defensive end position. Plenty of talent to replace Anderson and Williams but dudes will have to step up. Hand was #1 player in country and time to play like it ... Buggs (juco kid) the favorite to win the other spot and Da'Ron Payne will clog up the middle. Saw one publication compare their expectations of Payne this year to Ndamukong Suh's final year at nebraska.

Alabama's defense is loaded and will be STRONG just like all of the rest since Nick Saban's arrival.

The most important defensive team stat to me is scoring defense. Other than Saban's first year (32nd), his defenses at Bama have ranked in the top-6 nationally. Last year they were No. 1.

    2016 #1.....2015 #2.....2014 #5.....2013 #4.....2012 #2.....2011 #1.....2010 #3.....2009 #4.....2008 #6.....2007 #32.

I love Bama's 1961 defense but the 2011 unit may be the best in Alabama's history. Those guys were nasty against offenses.

Look what Missouri is doing w/ their unused dorms. This is pathetic, as their enrollment has dropped - after their ultra-liberal bullshlt they pulled a couple of years ago and their nut-less head coach resigned:

Re-live your glory days: Missouri to offer unused dorm rooms for football fans

    http://gridironnow.com/missouri-unus...football-fans/

Missouri will rent out unused dorm rooms to fans for football games and other campus events beginning this fall.

The initiative was among several introduced Thursday by university leaders to the Board of Curators as a response to declining freshman enrollment, which is affecting the school’s finances.

The school also launched a website Wednesday night that allows people to book a two-room, four-bed suite priced at $120 per night, which includes an added cost for parking. And for those who fondly remember on-campus life, staying in a dorm means you will be able to buy meals in campus cafeterias.

The decision to rent out rooms for football games has been discussed by Mizzou for months. Following years of declining freshman enrollment, including a significant projected dip this coming fall, university leaders decided to take several residence halls offline (one of them is pictured above) and explore new options to make up for the lost revenue on the unused space.

Residence hall reservations must be made 48 hours in advance of the stay and will be available for rent on weekends beginning this fall.
